Holden takes over first place, tying for the week's best score of 20 with Owlhouse. Holden gets a nine-point play by hitting the spread on a stone cold lead pipe lock, Green Bay by 14. The lockless Owlhouse scores 9 by nailing the spread on all three teams that win by 14: Green Bay, New York Giants and Carolina.

Tommytrump also picks the spread right on a Green Bay lock and scores 9. Only one lock breaks: Ic23b on Arizona. These players also get 3 points for hitting the winner and spread: Green Bay by 14 (rumple, rcade), New Orleans by 6 (ying yang mafia, jagsnumberone), Baltimore by 3 (ic23b, rcade), Washington by 3 (ic23b), San Diego by 3 (grum@work) and St. Louis by 2 (jjzucal).

Welcome our new player, LittleLebowski!

First, I think I should have two more points from last week (spread in Seattle's win- I had them by 4, it was 3--should fit margin of error, but I could be wrong. Same with Chicago's win-I had them by 3, it was 2)

It looks like I misinterpreted the ChicoBangs rule on margins. I thought an actual margin like 2 only awarded on a margin from 2 to 2 (2 * .03 = 0.6, which rounds down to 0.0). But I see a 2-point game here with a margin from 1 to 3, so it isn't always rounding down. It goes to the closest decimal.

I'll correct the error and rerun weeks 1-4. This should have a big impact on scores.

I promise I will not use my extensive insider information to correctly pick all games this week. It would not be fair (nor very likely, but I won't admit that). For a change my Thursday is not as busy as usual, my fitness trainer did not kill me this morning, and my post-workout bacon and eggs with whole wheat English muffins was good. Even doing the dishes was easy. So on this sort of high, I begin:

Houston by 10 (Luck is out and Hasselback is not feeling well.)
Kansas City by 13
Buffalo by 4
Baltimore by 11
Tampa Bay by 6 (for a share of the Florida championship)
Green Bay by 9
