MLB Post-Season Pick 'Em, LCS Edition: with the results and rankings so far. Also, some hot double-or-nothing bonus action. Make your picks inside.

David Ortiz leads both leagues in postseason average, going 5/7 with 6 walks. The AL led in run differential by 17. Since nobody nailed it right on, I decided to award a point if you were within 5 points either way. (The same system is used in the weekly CFL pick 'em for spread calculations.) If too many people think this is unfair, we can put it to a vote.

Please double-check your picks to make sure they're all tallied up properly. Thanks! LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES Cleveland Indians (96-66) vs. Boston Red Sox (96-66) Colorado Rockies (90-73) vs. Arizona Diamondbacks (90-72) REGULAR BONUS Pick the starting pitchers, one from each league, who will have the lowest ERA in their respective LCS. Minimum 5.0 IP. DOUBLE-OR-NOTHING BONUS Pick a player who will have the most RBIs in his LCS. There will be two right answers, one for each league. For instance, if you pick Jeff Francis and he drives in 23 runs to lead the NLCS, you win this bonus even if David Ortiz has 99 RBI in the ALCS. Double-or-nothing rules: The double-or-nothing pick is optional.
  • If you choose to make a double-or-nothing pick, and you get both Regular Bonus picks correct and the Double-or-Nothing Bonus pick correct, you will be awarded four total points. However, if you get any of these bonus picks wrong, you will be awarded zero bonus points.
  • If you choose not to make a double-or-nothing pick, your Regular Bonus will be awarded as usual, one point for each correct pitcher.
  • If you make a double-or-nothing pick and then change your mind, you can withdraw it anytime before the beginning of the LCS (just post a comment and tell us so).
Total points (playing double-or-nothing): 4 LCS + 4 bonus = 8. Total points (not playing double-or-nothing): 4 LCS + 2 bonus = 6. Good luck!

Official Rules, Section 7.08 Any runner is out when -- (b) He intentionally interferes with a thrown ball; or hinders a fielder attempting to make a play on a batted ball; Rule 7.08(b) Comment: A runner who is adjudged to have hindered a fielder who is attempting to make a play on a batted ball is out whether it was intentional or not. If, however, the runner has contact with a legally occupied base when he hinders the fielder, he shall not be called out unless, in the umpire’s judgment, such hindrance, whether it occurs on fair or foul territory, is intentional. If the umpire declares the hindrance intentional, the following penalty shall apply: With less than two out, the umpire shall declare both the runner and batter out. With two out, the umpire shall declare the batter out. If, in a run-down between third base and home plate, the succeeding runner has advanced and is standing on third base when the runner in a run-down is called out for offensive interference, the umpire shall send the runner standing on third base back to second base. This same principle applies if there is a run-down between second and third base and succeeding runner has reached second (the reasoning is that no runner shall advance on an interference play and a runner is considered to occupy a base until he legally has reached the next succeeding base).
So that's why Snyder was sent back to second?

RBI Rankings: 4 - Holliday 4 - Torrealba 3 - Snyder 2 - (four different players) For RBI and ERA picks, ties are permitted. That is, if your pick is tied for the top spot with 63 other players, you still get your point(s). It's worth noting that out of all the players who picked NL for their double-or-nothing, only skydivemom picked Jeff Francis for NLCS ERA—so only her bet is still intact.
