Former WWE Superstar faces felony drug charges.: Recently departed WWE Superstar Jeff Hardy was arrested on felony drug trafficking charges at his home in North Carolina. Hardy, who let his contract expire with the WWE and did not sign a new one, has a history of drug abuse and received two strikes against himself for violating the WWE's Wellness Policy instituted in 2007. Several people in the industry have been quick to defend Hardy including former WWE star Lance Storm.

If if looks like a sport, smells like a sport....: This past week we had this little gem of post degrade into the whole "is it or isn't a sport" conversation. I freely admit I was a part of it as were one of the sites admins. I was just wondering if we could get a ruling whether or not pro wrestling/sports entertainment post we welcomed.

Legendary Wrestler linked to slaying of 97 year old man: Amateur and pro wrestling legend Verne Gagne was involved with an incident that lead to the death of 97 year old Helmut Guttmann. According to several accounts Gagne shoved Guttmann who was then hospitalized and later died. Minneapolis police are ruling Guttmann's death a homicide. Gagne's family, who say he is suffering from Alzhimer's, think any charges pressed againt Verne would be inhumane.

Power Play: The Blazer score what turns out to be a crucial basket on the Celtics with an extra player on the floor. Surprisingly the Blazers employed no subterfuge and left all six players on the court to be spotted by the refs. After discovering the mistake officials still let the basket stand.

Wouldn't Phillips wife's looks also be fair game? What if you think Mrs. Phillips is uglier than Brooke Hundley, can we all just agree that Mr. Phillips made a good choice?

Seriously? That's freaking awesome. Will it include Yorks and Lancasters as well considering there were only 5 Tudor monarchs (6 if you included Jane Gray's 10 day reign) I was always a big fan of Bloody Mary's work. Sorry for the non-sports related geek-out.

work prevented me from watching the fight but I did re-watch JMM v. Diaz earlier in the day and felt really good about Marquez going into this match. JMM's counter-punching style coupled with the ring rust on Mayweather really had me believing this could be an upset, but as usual I was wrong. Mayweather v. Pacquito should be epic, provided it happens.

I know absolutely nothing about golf but from what I have heard The Bethpage NY course was considered one of if not the best New York golf course yet there were like 5 courses in the metro NY/NJ listed ahead of it. I worked in the town of Bethpage during the Open in the early 2000's (2002 I think) and i was working in Farmingdale during this open and was constantly hearing from my customers about how difficult the course and how the Hamptons ain't got shit on Bethpage/Farmingdale.

Most wrestling related post are about steroids and the behavior brought on by their use and this is a topic that affects the sporting world at large. On the other hand the out comes are predetermined and therefore negate its legitimacy in the eyes of many. I say we just have it now rather than debating the "is it/isn't it" thing when another wrestling post is put up here. SpoFi frowns on the is it/isn't discussion but I feel this topic warrants it.

Scranton Caught Between New York and Philly
Most of my friends are NY Mets fans and seem to be rooting for the Yanks in the WS. I believe we will be seeing Ragnarok some time soon.
