hey, apoch, thanks for setting this up.
Patriots by 4 as Julian Edelman does a credible Welker imitation, Brady discovers the tight ends, and the entire team is active for the game.
Bengals by 10, running effectively early, getting the Jets behind, and making Sanchez look as inexperienced as he really is.
Packers by 9. Arizona plays a little better this week, but is still unable to contain the Cheezers.
Dallas by 3. Eagles get too caught up in the revenge and rivalry thing and blow early opportunities but almost pull it out late.
Special teams: Patriots with 16 (3 Gostkowski field goals, 2 PATs and an interception return).

I thought you were a Yankee fan, lbb, but I'm surprised to see on your profile you root for the Patriots. I'd forgotten you've posted on past Patriot threads.
A dishearteningly lopsided loss, but in tune with the season where they were so inconsistent (and injured). It seems like the whole team has been off since that Giants victory in the Superbowl, with the lost Brady season and inexplicable 11-win non-playoff appearance, or this season where they were worse than useless away from Foxborough (only to lose handily in the wild card game at home). Just didn't feel like they were going to do much this year, although I still had hope they'd some how tune it up for the playoffs, losing Welker and Brady's rib issues were too much of a sign of their minimal chances.

Here's how it works. You pick who you think will win, and by how much. You then get points based on the result: * picked the winner? You get 1 point. * picked the winner, and a spread within the Margin of Error? You get 2 points. * picked the winner, and you nailed the spread right on? You get 3 points. * didn't pick the winner, but nailed the spread right on? You get 1 point. What's the Margin of Error? It's a window around the spread that's defined as: spread - round(0.3 * spread) < margin of error=spread + round(0.3 * spread) The bonus point this week will score the same way. Which team will have the most special teams points (point after touchdown+field goals+punt/kick return touchdowns) and how many?
This Weeks games: Jets vs Bengals Sat 4:30 pm Eagles vs Cowboys Sat 8:00 pm Raves vs Patriots Sun 1:00 pm Packers vs Cardinals Sun 4:40 pm.
All picks are due by Saturday at 4:00 pm.
