Round 2 Standings Many thanks to qbert72 for checking my totals. Still probably a good idea for everyone to double-check their picks and points, though.

Round 3 Pick 'Em Buffalo vs. Ottawa Anaheim vs. Detroit THE COMBINED BONUS Here are the current top three leaders in plus/minus (see the complete list): 1. M. Nylander (NYR) +9 2. T. Numminen (BUF) +9 T3. J. Franzen (DET) +8 T3. D. Kalinen (BUF) +8 Pick the three players who will make up the top three leaders in plus/minus at the end of the conference finals. This will be cumulative across all three playoff rounds, so players from eliminated teams can still qualify. You will receive 1 point for every player you correctly pick in the top three, regardless of individual position. If you pick all the players in the correct order, you receive an additional 2 bonus points on top of that, so 5 points total. In case of a +/- tie, the tiebreakers will be points, goals, game-winning goals, and shot percentage, in that order. So in the list above, Franzen (6 pts) would beat out Kalinen (4 pts).

Buffalo in 6 Anaheim in 6 Numminen Kalinen Redden

Buffalo in 7 Anaheim in 5 Numminen Kalinen Mylander

Buffalo in 6 Detroit in 7 Numminen Chelios Redden

Ottawa 7 Detroit 6 Chelios Numminen Redden

Buffalo in 7 Anaheim in 5 Connolly Briere Redden Thanks again for all the effort, Doc.

Buffalo in 7 Detroit in 6 Numminen Franzen Kalinen

Ottawa in 7 epic games. Detroit in 6. Franzen Numminen Chelios Thanks for the all the hard work that you've done, Doc.

Sens in 6 Ducks in 6 Alfredo Meszaros Spezza

Holy crap, I'm not sucking too bad...yet. More importantly, I'm in front of Weedy. Alphabetic order fucking kicks ass! Buffalo in 6 Anaheim in 7 Nylander Redden Kalinen

Buffalo in 6 games Detroit in 7 games Numminen Chelios Kalinen

Ottawa in 5 Anaheim in 6 Franzen Redden Meszaros

Fucking Detroit. I'm tempted to pick them to make the finals considering the run they've managed to pull together, but in the confidence pool I have the Ducks and Sabres so I'm going to ride that through to the end. ANA in 6 BUF in 7 Meszaros Numminen Franzen

Speaking of updates, any news on the confidence pool?

Buffalo in 6 Anaheim in 7 Numminen Kalinen Campbell

Fubalo in 7 Anaheim in 5 Numminen Kalinen Mezaros

Ducks in 5 Sens in 6 Niedermayer (defenceman, whichever one that is) Pronger Pahlsson

Buffalo in 7 Anaheim in 6 I think Numminen finishes +13 Briere finishes +11 Nylander hangs on with a +9

Buffalo in 6 Detroit in 7 Chelios Numminen Briere

Sens in 7 Ducks in 5 Redden Pronger Numminen

Wings in 6 Radioactive Slugs in 5 Franzen Briere Nylander

After much thought (probably too much): Ottawa in 6 Detroit in 7 Franzen Meszaros Numminen

Buffalo in 6 Ducks in 5 Kalinin Meszaros Franzen

Buffalo in 7 Detroit in 7 Franzen Chelios Numminen

Buffalo - 6 Detroit - 7 Franzen Kalinin Numminen

Buffalo in 5 Anaheim in 5 Kalinin Nylander Numminen

Detroit in 7 (revenge for '03) Franzen Nylander Chelios

So far the Senators are 2-0 on days when Roy Halladay gives up 6 or more runs in the third inning. I don't know whether to be scared or strangely comforted by this.

If the Senators are going to be good on days when the Jays suck, then the Cup is guaranteed.

Well now I just need the Sabres and Ducks to sweep.

How does Roy Halladay being on the DL for the rest of the playoffs affect the Sens?

The Stanley Cup is being flown into Buffalo as we speak, and will be presented at the end of tonight's game.

Obviously we should've done the penalty kill bonus question THIS round, and not last.

You must be shittin your pants right now, Doc. I'm pulling for your Hens big time. Not just for this series either, but to win it all.

Yeah, pretty much. I even created a new blog to handle the emotional overflow.

I forgot about Vsport.. hey, the front page says it's launching in March '07.

Blarg, give me another few days on that.

With one conference finals in the books, here's the current +/- standings:

T. Numminen (BUF) +11 4pts M. Nylander (NYR) +9 13pts J. Franzen (DET) +9 7pts
Kalinen (+9 but only 5 points) and Redden (+8) won't be able to break the top three. If Franzen does well and Chelios catches fire, wingnut4life has a shot at the Five Bonus Points of Improbability.

Wow, sorry, I guess Yahoo! hadn't updated their stats listing when I posted. Here's the correct +/- standings after yesterday's game: T. Numminen (BUF) +10 4pts M. Nylander (NYR) +9 13pts J. Redden (OTT) +9 8pts Franzen (+9, 7pts) can still break the top three, but Kalinen is eliminated.

Stupid Pronger.

Will get the next round up tomorrow. Too busy today!
