Who knew there was a :

In golf’s history, there were just four previous condors reported through 2018 — all of them holes-in-one on par 5s, starting in 1962 when a golfer in Hope, Ark. cut the corner on a dogleg for an ace on a 480-yard hole. Before Pon’s rare feat, the last condor was in 2007, when a 16-year-old aced a 511-yard hole in New South Wales, Australia.

The Annual : and it's wonderful.

If this last terrible year could do one good thing it would be to move the definition of the word community away from its more recent meaning – online interest group – back towards its older, more challenging meaning – the people who live near you with whom you have to learn to get along with.

I'd read something about this in passing a long time ago (Jonathan Wilson perhaps?) and will definitely check this out!

CFL announces changes to playing surface, modified rouge

I don't understand why it needs to be the same unless it's going to become some mid-point between college football and the NFL. Also, if you ever get a chance to see Modified Rouge, they shred live!

What We’ve Learned About the Kawhi Leonard Situation—and What We Haven’t

Now that the second podcast has hit, this is a foundational moment in Adam Silver's legacy, some sort of . . . like an event that changes everything or a catastrophe that will be remembered forever. Damnit, why am I so bad with metaphors?

Silver recently responded to complaints about how much it costs to subscribe to all the services that carry NBA games with a suggestion to just watch the highlights, since those are free online. So I am sure he will handle this with the gravitas it deserves.

Ken Dryden was a towering figure in the crease and a principled gentleman off the ice

Yeah, any time his name came up my dad mumbled an appreciative "Stood on his head" about 1971 and moved on.

I have this horrible feeling the real Belichick is right around the level Pat's show is looking for. There are no second acts in American life.
