Jose Theodore makes two saves.: Improving his 32nd ranked goals against average, the Montreal goalie turned aside two attempts by an intruder during a Habs practice.
I would fake the forehand and roof the backhand.

"I didn't really know what was going on until the guy came on," a grinning Theodore said later. "He came at me with his head down so I just wanted to say `Welcome to the big boys.' "I poke-checked him to say `You have to keep your head up.' When he came back, I though about going out of the net and not playing into his game, but then I thought he had the (courage) to go on the ice, so I let him have a free shot at me. "He couldn't beat me. That's the main thing." While waiting for the police to arrive, Raphael told reporters that while Theodore is a "great goalie," he didn't score because "I didn't have time." Gotta love it.

I saw the video of this late last night and wasn't impressed with his play. I was impressed with the class demeanor shown by the players on the ice with him. They looked huge compared to this guy and nobody would have blamed them if they had laid a licking on him. They choose not to feed the troll and took the high ground. I personnally would have gone for the autographs.

Theodore's take on this experience is hilarious. I wonder how many shots it would have taken the guy to score. What would you try to do at a pro sport practice? I'd pull a Barry Bremen and shake my moneymakers as a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader.

Good stuff, I like that Theodore stayed in there. I would love to try and hit big league pitching or at least just to see it. I saw some low 90s in college but I wanna see what a real fireballer's got, or maybe a Zito curve.

That's just hilarious. Theodore took it very well. I think teams could make a lot of money if they charged admission for this sort of exihibition. I would pay money to be able to take about 5 shots against an NHL goaltender, or play in a scrimmage.

well, I guess that answers it then. Hes pretty proud of himself (theodore). I guess he knows hes good enough to stop a 50 year old rec league shot. My only wonder is, was this guy on the power play?

What would you try to do at a pro sport practice? I would play defensive for the Chiefs. I couldn't be any worse than what they have now.

Sjtfireman09 - the interloper guy was 28, and it seemed to be a breakaway type drill. He skated down the ice and Theodore came WAY out of his net (this thread tell me he was doing a poke check, looked more like a sliding body block in the high slot the first time I saw it) and stopped one attempt, the guy circled back to the blue line and skated in again and put a meek shot right into Theodore's pads, skated back towards the neutral zone and was stopped by the coach and then escorted off the ice. So he wasn't 50 (wasn't all that good by the quick look of it either) and my impression from the interview clips suggested the team was having a bit of fun with the incident and weren't freaking out.

Are they playing the Lingerie Bowl again this year? Because I choose that over all others! Otherwise, I'd like to line up next to Jamie Carragher in central defense at a Liverpool practice. Hyppia would make feel too short.

Thank God he did'nt score. I can hear him now "Captain insane-o shows no mercy". What would I try at a pro sport practice? I'd test my speed and agility at a Nascar time trial event by seeing if i could get any of the drivers to fall for the banana in the tailpipe when they pit.
