I'm a little confused. I filled out round 1...is that as far as we can go now?

posted by louisville_slugger at 08:35 PM on March 11

You fill out the whole bracket all the way to the final winner and the score in the championship game.

thank apoch. for other mac users out there, this new format that yahoo has doesn't seem to want to work in safari. seems fine in firefox though.

Here is a link to the front page of the bracket challenge. I should have included that in the post. Sorry.

I'm in with The Final 86.

JTIII's Gleaming Dome will outfox all of you. Beware the intricacies of the Princeton offense and the perils of the Georgetown defense!

I'm in with Rush wright to victory. I know, corny and predictable, but I thought it was clever.

A million monkeys with brackets will eventually pick the winning one...

I'm in as Coya is Clueless. Now I just need to train my dog to make my picks for me. Her mouse movement is alright, but she doesn't click well.

I'm in as Fear the Turtle!

After contemplating going in as Loose Ball Foul, we instead decided on Backcourt Violation. And by "we" I mean me and the boys from UConn, who don't have much to do this month. 'Cept study. Her mouse movement is alright, but she doesn't click well. Sounds like my ex-wife.

Spitz's Pix are in! The Costanza is up for grabs! I knew the million monkeys in my basement would come in handy one day ;)

posted by Spitztengle at 08:10 PM on March 12

A million monkeys with brackets will eventually pick the winning one... Give every one of those monkeys 9,223,372,036,854 unique brackets, drag one more in and force it to take the other 775,808. What you got there is one lucky monkey and 1 million others with nothing to do but throw loser brackets and feces.

I'm in. My name: KU in the final 32. This i'm praying for. Who know s how far we can go if we actually get an opening day win.

posted by brainofdtrain at 11:37 PM on March 14

Just realized I put Vanderbilt in the Elite Eight. This should be interesting.

posted by Ying Yang Mafia at 08:56 PM on March 15

11-5 on the opening day, and one of my Elite Eight choices (long shot Stanford) is gone. Hello, Costanza!

posted by grum@work at 08:56 AM on March 16

15-1 on the first day... Please be advised that there will soon be flying pigs, snow in South Florida, and the World, as we know it, will come to an end. Oh, well. I'm sure I'll find a way to screw it up.

posted by hawkguy at 09:21 AM on March 16

grum, I wouldn't get too down on your chances at victory. Points for correct picks double every round, so if you get the final four right/championship game you can make up a lot of ground.

posted by apoch at 10:07 AM on March 16

and one of my Elite Eight choices (long shot Stanford) is gone ... and in rather spectacular fashion, too. Don't feel too bad -- according to the (fascinating) Overall Pick Distribution, 20.2% of Yahoo! Fantasy players picked Stanford to win that first-round game ... only slightly fewer than the number who picked Virginia Commonwealth.

I'm feeling like I'm on top of the world since I picked VCU.

posted by Ying Yang Mafia at 04:51 PM on March 16

How many years has it been since not ONE #12 seed beat a #5 seed? That used to be the "easy upset" pick every tournament. Damn it!

posted by grum@work at 03:26 PM on March 17

I picked Old Dominion to beat Butler and then be stomped by Maryland who would then roll onto the Final Four. Damn. Tough luck terrapin
