The Agony of Defeat. Lots of crashes on the luge track for the women. Also mentioned in the men's coverage was a training run crash by Gold Medalist Zoeggler, and the 52 year old Venezuelan competitor. I understand not showing horrific NFL hits so that players aren't tempted to engange in undue violence to get camera coverage, but it seems something happened to the old Wide World Of Sports style Agony of Defeat moments. I understand the respect for privacy in an especially bad accident, perhaps like the one described in the link. But it seems to me that once upon a time, footage of Zoeggler's crash in training would have been shown before each of his runs. Is NBC hurting their ratings by not indulging the morbid curiosity factor?

Seattle edges Dallas in a wild, wild 4th quarter
One of the most nail-biting fourth quarters I've ever seen! Dallas looked poised to waltz into the end zone for an easy 2 or 6 point win in the final two minutes of the game, until an incredible goal line stop by Tatupu and an improbable drop of a FG snap led to a wild finish to Saturday's football action.

I can't find any back up, but I think I remember seeing on TV last year that he was prohibited by contract clause from riding during the season, but not the offseason. (I don't know where pre-season fits in, if that is in fact true).

Auntie Climax It looks like this year's SpoFi March Madness pool is all over but for the crying. RainBigBaby cannot be caught....it is just a matter of how big an ass-kicking the final score is. We do, however, need an official ruling on the Costanza....more inside.
By the way, some guy named Tim McKenna called the Final Four and is in first place in the Yahooniverse.
