As if anyone needed extra motivation.: Jerramy Stevens guarrantees victory on sunday.

All Stevens said was the Bus wasn't going home with any trophy and then the media gets ahold of it and BAM it's a guarrantee for victory and Porter shoots his FAT mouth off. I guarrantee that BIG WALT puts him on his ass many times so if getting knocked on his ass motivates him. SO BE IT!!! Go HAWKS!!!!!!!

Stevens also said Porter will have a difficult time whenever he is matched up with Seahawks All-Pro tackle Walter Jones. "He had a huge game in the AFC championship game coming off the edge on the blitz," Stevens said of Porter. "I don't think he is going to have such an easy day against Walt, though." That may be one of the reasons Porter is speaking out, and plus, it isn't as if he is known for being quiet.

bigdoginthecity, what else does ''It's a heartwarming story and all that, but it will be a sad day when he leaves without that trophy'' mean if not a victory guaranty? Maybe he just meant that Bettis would retire before the game? Get real, saying it wasn't a guarentee is just a cop out, Stevens started the trash talk and now all the Porter haters are gonna say that's not what Stevens meant. Don't insult everyones' intelligence and say he didn't mean what we know he said. :o)

I think Stevens just woke a sleeping tiger, not just in Porter but in the whole Steelers team. The team has admitted that Bettis has been their inspiration and fire. Stevens brought Bettis up, and I think that's just a little more inspiration coming from Bettis. The Black and Gold will back him every time and I can guarantee the Steelers will come out fired up, especially after those comments, and I'm not convinced Seattle can handle a pumped up Steelers team...

bulletin board material is overrated. talent + executed scheme = win. i hate the 2 weeks before the SB for this very reason. journalists scraping together bits and pieces so that have something to justify their jobs. i just want the game to come and go already.

Ok I will retract my statement saying it's not a guarrantee so it is but the media did hype it up. Even so I still guarrantee Walt will treat him like a little bitch and stevens isn't a small guy either and he will hand Porter his ass in a handbag. So be it. I said it, and the little short bus isn't going anywhere with whatever kind of motivation you give him......

Bulletin board material and trash talk motivation are acceptable terms in high school rivalries. This is the Super Bowl. Was someone only going to play half assed and then all of a sudden got motivated because they found out the other team actually expected to win? If so they probably aren't a big reason their team made it to the Super Bowl in the first place. This is the problem with the extra week before the Super Bowl, everyone has to find a story where there really isn't one. The second week must be a coaches worst nightmare.

Hell did everyone forget that Matt Hasselback sucks as a QB where was he a few years ago one of the worse QB's think he can hold up to Super Bowl Pressure? my guess is he won't. The Stupid TE Stevens. Forgot that the Steelers came the hardway to the SB knocking off a few of the Best teams in the NFL and have something to prove..

It's the Super Bowl. Anything that comes close to trash talk will be hyped by the media. You don't shoot your mouth off. Especially when you bring up the one guy that everyone knows the Steelers are trying to win for. When in doubt, put your thumb in your mouth. Not your foot.

It's true jerome will not leave with the trophy the Steelers are going to loose.

Those poor babies can only talk trash, because they do not have the brain cells to do anything else. If they don't think they can win stay off the field, and quit flapping their gums. Of course both of these guys think they will win and they have expressed that in the only means they know, demeaning the other.

So be it. I said it, and the little short bus isn't going anywhere with whatever kind of motivation you give him...... BigDog, I'm assuming you're talking about Bettis. It isn't about the "short bus" getting the motivation. It's about the whole team backing him and giving the whole team the motivation. That is something I would not screw with, not this year with this team...

This is all hype designed to get more people excited for the game. A lot of people are saying this will be used for motivation for this side or that side but do you really think these guys need anymore motivation when they are playing the biggest game of their life? I'm sure before this the steelers weren't going to give 100 percent but oh man now that the tight end from the other team said something they are going to try harder now....get real people don't buy the hype this stuff doesn't matter.

If you want to guarantee victory for your team in the Super Bowl, there are three requirements: 1. You must be doing so on a poolside beachchair while relaxing in the sunshine(which, admittedly, would be hard to find in Detroit right now). 2. You must be wearing pantyhose (and not look totally idiotic while doing it) 3. Your name's gottabe, GOTTABE Broadway Joe... Jerramy Stevens, you have done none of these things, therefore, you will lose.

4. You have to be posting on an internet message board. There's so little to write about, this becomes news. Tempest. Teapot.

The media has to love this because the well has run dry, so they will blow it up bigtime. BUT...................... This chump is trash talking? Who in the hell is he....a fourth rate player! Porter WILL shut him up on the fireld. Extra motivation for the Steelers (like they needed it) talking about Bettis. Its like "you can call me names but dont call my momma names". FINAL NOTE...I dont think you should attack an individual on this blog, but when people talk out their ass...its on! BigDog....Rehab or detox may be a good choice! Maybe those football classes for wives. PeytonBacker......What is Peyton doing for the Super Bowl? Ask Peyton if that #55 has washed off his chest yet!!!

NEWSFLASH! STEVENS OUT OF SUPER BOWL! Just watched Jerremy Stevens live press conference on NFL NETWORK.... He will not play in the Super Bowl due to recent injuries...Dislocated Lips and Back Spasms from bending over and kissing Joey Porter and Jerome Bettis' ass! Listen to this jackass try and smooth over his stupid comments (as ordered to do so by Holmgren). It will be a pleasure to this this guy get knocked on his ass play after play and be a non factor in the game!

When the ball gets kicked off, nothing else matters. Your predictions, the trash talk, the vegas line, the $5 you put on the game with your homie will all be bullshit. The idea that NOW the Steelers will come out fired up because of what Steven's said is absurd. The idea that now Walter Jones is going to play his best because of what Porter said is ridiculous. Articles like this and comments like Stevens' and Porters' and all of our predictions are nothing more than one big super bowl circle jerk. And don't get me started on Salisbury's comment that the Steeler's "want it more". Who the fuck are you crappin' dude?

posted by vito90 at 11:50 AM on February 02, 2006

I can't believe that comments by Stevens even rises to the level of trash talk. He didn't criticize anyone, he didn't talk about anyone's mama. All he said was that his team was going to win the Super Bowl. They need some real trash talkers in Seattle! Someone talking about Bettis being old as dirt or Cowher kissing players on the mouth or Porter getting shot in the ass.

I just hope Joey Porter doesn't punch him in the mouth and get ejected like he did to Willie Green.!!!!! Joey Porter is a real dude. Nuff Respect.. BumbaClotta

"If someone else would of said it I would of probally let it ride" STFU ok just wanted everyone to see his full comments and not just the bullshit espn puts out there.

Now see, this is the case for not having a two-week break between the Conference Finals and the Super Bowl. Everyone -- the players, the coaches, the media, the fans, everyone -- gets squirrely and starts digesting their own stomach linings. I don't know who I'm actually pulling for yet (I really don't; I like both teams), but I gotta say that Joey Porter is yelling at nothing now, and has been for days. What Stevens said was kind of uncool, but you hear that kind of talk aevery week during the season and no one even blinks. Anyone who shoots their mouth off as much as Porter has in the last two days has got to be losing his shit on some level. I don't care what he's saying. He's obviously got a serious case of nerves.

I personally am going to be so glad when the Super Bowl is over just because it will hopefully end the endless dumbass comments such as GO STEELERS!!!!!111 and other comments dissing one or another team or players. On topic: I just think it would be great to see Porter drill Stevens on the Seahawks first possesion.
