slowly, but surely, climbing back into playoff contention. plus, i got to david west faster than anyone else did (granted, after waiting on his elbow for a month, i watched him daily). i'm looking for assists though, am willing to trade one of my capable rebounders to get 'em. make an offer.

Yeah, I saw David West on a box score and it didn't register... then I saw that you grabbed him and wanted to kick myself. Now you're really, really dominating on the boards.

Slowly but surely going backwards. I was in first once right? YYM really screwed me last week. All week he's like 'my team sucks...you're gonna kill me'. Felt good. How'd that turn out?

posted by YukonGold at 05:15 PM on January 22, 2007

I actually won. I can't believe it. Dfleming I sent you an offer.

Odom may be back this week. Now you're all in big, big trouble.

so, silly me, nobody told me about the afternoon games on MLK Monday, so I think I may have kinda shot myself in the foot by not having my rosters set :( that, and KG has to go throwin' punches, earning a suspension at the end of the week??? I'm still in the hunt for a competent 3pt shooter, so if anyone has a trade idea, I'm willing to entertain one. good luck this week, all! ('cept you, dusted ;)

i'm looking for assists though, am willing to trade one of my capable rebounders to get 'em. make an offer. Well, some schlub just dropped Jose Calderon on the waiver wire, and he got 11 assists last night. [and this after I have steadily inched upwards. I hope he gets injured]

if someone could wake ufez up, i have a trade pending for you.

posted by dfleming at 08:56 AM on January 23, 2007

Now we're getting a flurry of trade activity. Interesting.

Oh man, I would've wanted Marion too. You missed out on a bidding war.

posted by YukonGold at 07:53 AM on January 25, 2007

i had a ton of trade offers for marion involving a ton of players. in the end, i'm losing about 5 rebounds a game, a three and gaining 8 points and 6 assists. wade's blocks are rare for a guard and his steals are comparable. it was the best trade i could make without compromising the things my team are good at.

posted by dfleming at 08:18 AM on January 25, 2007

plus, i saw kwame brown come available and figured he'd replace willie green's scoring and add those rebounds i'm losing.

posted by dfleming at 08:19 AM on January 25, 2007

I just needed to get rid of a guard.

posted by Ying Yang Mafia at 08:52 AM on January 25, 2007

Now you need to get rid of a forward. Start with Marion...to me.

posted by YukonGold at 11:23 AM on January 25, 2007

It's funny to think we were once in the top two spots.

posted by Ying Yang Mafia at 02:06 PM on January 25, 2007

OK, so nobody bit on Calderon. So now I added him back. The Adam Morrison era was very brief. Now I hope that TJ Ford stays injured. Or not, seeing as I have him in another pool.

We shall rise again!

I still need threes and blocks. Now that Shawn Marion is off the market, I'm looking to make a trade for a 3pt shooter and block specialist. My team is great in the steals, rebounds, assists and points categories, so I'd be willing to trade those strengths for blocks and/or threes.

I just realized something..... if I had just put in a really good shooter, I would be guaranteed 3 points each week. (FG %, FT%, TO) I know this sounds corny, but I have recieved 2 points or less something like 3 times already. : (

That's the kind of strategy I've come to expect from the Knicks....!

posted by smithers at 10:50 AM on January 28, 2007

I'm really confused now.

posted by YukonGold at 11:37 AM on January 28, 2007

I'm really confused now If you only play one great player one or two times you can potentially have an almost impossible to beat percentage in FG and FT with a very small amount of TO. You'll lose everything else, but win three categories.

posted by Ying Yang Mafia at 12:59 PM on January 28, 2007

Wow. Why hasn't that ever crossed my mind?

posted by YukonGold at 04:14 PM on January 28, 2007

Hey its a pretty dam good strategy for my team at this point. ; )
