The Cavs are going to win a championship won of these days... Hang in there Spurs, you can make a comeback!! Would love to see a spurs-cavs championship game... maybe next year
Go LeBron! If the Cavs beat the Detroit Inforcers... er, Pistons, I would even accept them beating the Heat. Heck, a seven game series with LeBron vs. Dwayne Wade. Now, that would be beautiful, beautiful basketball. Heck, I'm going to be honest as long as the NBA Finals are anything but Spurs vs. Pistons, I'll be happy with the results.
I am still very skeptical that the Cavs can pull off the series, but they have definitely impressed me. As they say, closing out the series is the hardest, and I wonder if Cleveland has the maturity for it. The Pistons proved that a 3-2 disadvantage means nothing to them last year in the ECF, and this time they have the home-court advantage helping them. The Pistons definitely got overconfident but I think this was the smack in the face they needed to get back into gear. As a Heat fan, I certainly hope not, and as a basketball fan, I shudder at the thought of another series with that team in it.
If they don't win game six, they have no hope. They HAVE to win game six!!
Spiz, I tend to think that if they don't win game 6, then game 7 might still be an option for them. What makes you think differently?
Home court, I'm assuming.
The Cavs are winning and put the Pistons on edge, because they respect the team they are playing, and they know what they have to do to beat them...Pistons have given no repect to the Cavs and they are down. The Pistons are the best team this year I expect them to be fighting very hard Friday. I am hoping the Cavs can win game six. The Pistons are going to be harder to beat in Detroit a second time. Regardless what happens in this series. The Cavs have proven they are for real. They are still growing and building as a team, The Cavs are to be reckoned with for years to come...
I wouldn't be shocked if the Pistons comeback to win this series. As bad and as tight as they have played, the last two losses have been by a combined 4 points. That said, I don't think they can go to the well as often as they have. The Piston players are saying the same things the Red Wing's were saying when the LA Kings and the Mighty Ducks knocked them out of the playoffs. The Pistons need to shut up, quit crying to the officials and start playing the way they did in the regular season.
whatever the outcome, the cavaliers have shown a helluva lot of intestinal fortitude. who would have thought three years ago the cavs could even make this an interesting series?
What's Wallace have to say now? Go Cavs
dam i wouldnt expect the cavs to go this far now just need one more game to eliminate the pistons put it this way the cavs r have matured from the last couple games they ve been through look at thier center and lj togethor imagine if larry hughes was playing the whole season with them. the cavs will get a ring within a yr or 2 yrs from now. pistons ya better come back b/c no one cares about ya last championship they like chauncy who ??? if the pistons win i think the heat will take em out i hope the mavs r suns make it to finals p.s yo ying yang mafia u think pistons still got a chance
The cavs have already made a statement. They have proven that they have a solid future in the post-seasons to come. BUT... now the Pistons have to re-prove themselves. The Pistons will come out Blazing in game 6. To win, the Cavs will probably have to overcome a huge deficit in game 6. If it goes to 7, the Pistons will win.
Detroit is not as good as people think or they themselves think well we'll see what happens in game 6 depending on the outcome if there is a 7th game my $ would be on Detroit
The pistons are the most over rated team in the playoff's! Rasheed is an idiot and his coach (if he had any balls) should put a muzzle on him! Cavs can close this series out in 6 or 7 if they have to.
The pistons are the most over rated team in the playoff's! Having the best record in the regular season and making a run at a third consecutive Finals appearance seems to suggest that whatever their "rating" is, it's probably not "over".
Grum you refer to their regular season and their past accomplishments. If this were the means by which we chose a champion, #1 There wouldnt be any playoffs and #2 It would'nt be called the regular season. One would conclude that they being the Pistons were already the champions. Which brings us to the reality that is they are over rated, if they were not the series would already be over and there would not be talk of the Cav's winning the series. Not to mention everybody and their mother picked them to win, along with the odds in Vegas.
Grum you refer to their regular season and their past accomplishments. Options are limited. What should we be working from? Future performance? The Oracle at Delphi?
I base my picks on the sequence of letters in my morning Alpha Bits. Today they said "Ooooooooo." In retrospect, I probably ate Cherios.
along with the odds in Vegas. To be honest, there really aren't any better places to get predictions from than the Las Vegas oddsmakers. It's their job to be as accurate as possible. If the Pistons had the best "odds" of winning the championship, they were probably the most likely team to do it. The failure to do so would not suggest "overrated", unless the odds of them doing it were extreme (1:2 or better). If the Pistons were 4:1 favourites, it still suggests they were only 20% favourites to win. That probably makes them better favourites than anyone else, but it still makes more sense to bet on "anyone but the Pistons" if you had the option. I base my picks on the sequence of letters in my morning Alpha Bits. Today they said "Ooooooooo." In retrospect, I probably ate Cherios. Did your talking dog inform you of your breakfast choice? :)
Cavs are gonna win because we are playing at home. Detroit has to win 2 and the way they are playing, last night's game was the last in their building. LeBron and Z and Andy are gonna take us to Miami where we will win in 7.
Did your talking dog inform you of your breakfast choice? :) Whaddya mean "my" talking dog? All dogs talk. Nothing but "Kill your parents!" "Shove pickles in your socks!" "Kill the Pope!" morning, noon and night. I mean really - It's just annoying. No insight. Man's best friend my ass.
He's just getting you back for blowing smoke in his face and feeding him peanut butter.
If they don't win game six, they have no hope. They HAVE to win game six!! commmit scuicide now just do it dont even leave a note just go
Detroit is reeling We are witness to LeBron Win or lose, good stuff /NBA playoff haiku
Right now I'm disgusted. Disgusted with the way the Pistons have played the last two games. Disgusted that Chauncey Billups says in the fucking paper that he has to come up big and then is fouled out on the bench when he is needed most. I'm sick of another FPP the minute the Pistons lose a game. I'm sick of seeing FPP's on the great "King James." And I'm disgusted that the Pistons can't get their damn act together and win something. yo ying yang mafia u think pistons still got a chance Now that my rant is done; while I am disgusted with the Pistons overall performance in the latter part of the series, I still think that they have a very good shot at pulling it out. Remember, New Jersey won three straight against the Pistons in 2004 but it wasn't them winning the NBA finals.
I think that Cleveland will win the next game- and pull a shocker that noone expected. Larry Hughes is back, and will want to win for his brother- who was an avid sports fan. LeBron will be hungry for the ball, and Cleveland is at home. Things are looking up for Cleveland right now.
