How Bout Them Chargers!: The Chargers, as we all know being the only team to beat the Indy Colts this year, there record is now 9-5 and are on there way to another playoff title. (lets just hope Keading has his leg ready this year for the post-season) 6 Bolts are going to the pro-bowl this year six!! quite an accomplishment I'd say, im a Lions fan but I gotta have love for those Bolts...there a young team with mucho talent! just keep an eye out football fans =D

Good on 'em...I hope they can avoid days like they had against the Dolphins, though. That was pretty bizarre.

It's quite possible that the Chargers could win their last two games and not make the playoffs. Peter King suggested that if that happens, they'll be the best NFL team in history (record and talent-wise) to miss the playoffs.

Us poor, pathetic Lion's fans. Decades of Ford ownership has led us to this! Go Chargers! Go any professional football team. Go Millen & take the Tigers with you!

The Bolts are a very good team. Their 5 losses are by a total of 15 points. If they stay hot they can beat anyone...when they aren't...well, the 'fins beat em. In the end it may be the wether that gets them. It is supposed to be rainy/snowy tomorrow in KC...if LT doesn't go the Bolts may be in trouble.

Have the bears scored 28 on the Chargers? NO Could they. NO I suppose since the Bears haven't played the chargers this year then yeah I guess they haven't, but I don't think that it would impossible. Could the chargers put 28 on the Bears, Hell No! Bears 13 Patriots 10 Superbowl baby!

The Bears got beat by the Steelers. The Steelers aren't that good. The Bears need to add some offense. None of which is to say they're a bad team. They just happen to be a good team in a very weak conference.

Five losses, no matter who they beat, shows that SD is not a top tier team especially when they've lost to the Cowboys, Eagles and Dolphins (plus Green Bay in preseason). Not that SD can't win on any given Sunday but then again even Houston, SF and NYJ have won twice this year.

I was hoping Indy would keep their winning streak alive long enough to get Peyton injured. Just to hear about the SuperBowl sacrificed to hopes of a perfect season. That said, they lost their starting LT, and suffered for it.

without LT, brees is gonna hav to make some big plays or Merriman and Jammer will hav to come up big time rams should have murdered the eagles last week

"The Bears got beat by the Steelers. The Steelers aren't that good" With their starting QB playing, the Steelers have lost 3 games...all to division winners (Colts, Patriots, Bengals)..and the Bengals game was theirs to win despite all the turnovers and the punt return. If Ben is playing, most NFL teams would be fearful of playing them.

chiefs by at least 12points.larry johnson up the gut.get the play action going, the chargers went deep in the play book at indy.they'll have to again to beat the chiefs.their gonna come out flat after putting up the performance last wk.31-17 CHIEFS.

The only problem with that is the Bears have scored 28+ just twice this season, against Detroit and Minnesota, neither of which are playoff caliber teams. This post is pretty much just a rah! rah! for my team though. A little more effort would be appreciated next time, LionsFan.

it looks like LT#21 is gonna be out. What site have you seen that lists him as out already? Everything I have seen says he practiced again today and is questionable for the game. I would not count him out just yet.

the CHARGERS probably will win out, but I don't see the other teams losing so I think they might be left out of the playoffs

reality check: 1. Bears haven't beat anybody worth bragging about. 2. If Chargers, Steelers and Jags finish tied, Steelers are out, and that is a strong possibity. 3. NO ONE wants the Chargers in the playoffs because the youngest team in the league has learned how to play D. 4. and to smart guy who mentions we lost to philly, dallas and miami...Miami is the only game we deserved to lose and who the hell remembers a pre-season loss to G.B.. By the way counting pre-season the chargers have made 7 cross country road trips, 1 team has 3 and the rest of the league has no more than two...IF THE THUNDER DON"T GET YOU, THEN THE LIGHTNING WILL!!!

smart guy who mentions we lost to philly, dallas and miami...Miami is the only game we deserved to lose Well, at least you called me smart. All I have to say is there are no moral victories in the NFL standings and SD lost to three crap teams during the regular season. There's your reality check.

I know the Chargers fans in this thread feel like they're being persecuted, but at the risk of saying something obvious: there's a reason the Chargers don't have their fate in their own hands.

Not that SD can't win on any given Sunday but then again even Houston, SF and NYJ have won twice this year. Billy, this may be the dumbest of your 2715 comments to SpoFI. The Cowboy game (opening weekend) was a great one and went right to the wire. The Eagles game was decided by a freak blocked FG for TD (TO and Donavan both still playing)...and you bring up a preseason game against the Packers? C'mon man...bring a good argument, or leave it alone. The Dolphins loss killed them...and as chico says the reason they don't have their destiny in their own hands is because of that loss. But if you watched that game you saw an anemic 'fins offense tossing prayers up to Chambers on every 3rd and long and Jebus answering with a completion. The Bolts have had, without a doubt, the toughest schedule this season and have yet to be beaten badly and they took down NE and Indy on the road (they have had to go to Indy two years in a row!). Maybe your just bitter because they humiliated your Giants.

First off....what in the hell are you Bears fans on? Bears to the Super Bowl? Toilet Bowl maybe! If you dont think the Chargers can score 28 on Da Bears, you need to follow, hmmm, maybe volleyball. Pittsburgh scored 18 with a ball control run offense in the snow. The Bears defense has holes, and many of them. L.T. would carry 28 times for around 180 yards, and Brees would pass down the middle of the field, like Big Ben did. The Bears are soft in the middle, Urlacher is no where to be found in the pass defense, and the DB's have too many injuries and inexperience. Lets be real Bro, I'm in ChiTown and a Bears fan, but being real, the Bears would NEVER get past the Hawks. Chargers to the Super Bowl? They have to make the playoffs first, and that isnt looking good. Bottom line, they have about the same chance as the Bears...SLIM AND NONE!

Chargers lost and are now out of it, so maybe this lame thread can finally die.

Johnson, Chiefs eliminate Chargers 20-7. Anyway, I barely consider the Giants my team any more, I should probably update my profile, and I wasn't even aware they played so no bitterness here as I have no preference among any of the AFC teams. Also, living in the Bay Area I'm not even sure the Eagles-Chargers or Cowboys-Chargers games were on TV here. So if you're telling me that those were close games, fine, but they were against two mediocre NFC teams in a year when most people will agree that the AFC is vastly superior and my answer remains the same.

posted by billsaysthis at 04:15 PM on December 24, 2005

I agree. Let this thread, just like the Chargers season, fizzle to an end. LT is a wreck, and my fantasy football season ended up just like the Chargers' due to him and his problems.
