Royce Gracie Returns to UFC in May The dude that held the Ultimate Fighting Championship for its first 3 years defeating dudes twice his size (they didn't have weight classes at the time) is coming back to vie for the welterweight title. The name Gracie is synonymous with the world of mixed martial arts esp. shootfighting, and many are looking forward to his return to the octogon. I know I am. Peace, Chris

whoever compared matt huges to royce is a complete retard!(sadsadcubsfan) gracie has been fighting his whole life in real fights Actually I believe that you are the retard BJJFAN, because I did not compare the two but only stated that he is as dominate now as Gracie was back then so get your frickin facts straight chump. If Hughes isn't then I guess you don't watch much UFC.

I think it's great he's coming back but he will lose. Why you may ask? Well he will be fighting the new Gracie of this era. Matt Hughes is as dominate in his sport as Tiger is in his. I just hope Gracie doesn't go and tarnish his name by getting destroyed in the octagon. I also don't think he'll do as well without being able to wear his guie (I don't know if thats how it's spelled, if someone knows you can correct me. It's that white suit he always wore.) and choke people out, which he was notorious for. I do hope it's a good fight though for the money we'll spend to see it. Good luck Gracie I think your gonna need it.
Panthers Bury Bears Steve Smith had 12 catches for a career-high 218 yards and two long touchdowns, including a 58-yard scoring reception on the second play from scrimmage, in a 29-21 Carolina Panthers victory over the Chicago Bears in the NFC playoffs. The Bears only gave up 150 or more yards to one receiver during the regular season -- Smith had 14 receptions for 169 yards in a week 11 13-3 Bears victory.

It comes as no suprise when they play a decent team on the only good weather day Chicago has ever seen in January Actually Atheist the weather has been nice all January in Chicago. It's been 40's for a couple of weeks now and going to be the same for yet another week, so the weather isn't always bad in Chicago. Is it as bad as Seattle where it's been raining for for an entire month. I don't know if I could handle that type of weather. Lets all not forget this Bears defense is young and under contract for the next few years. I wanna see what they can do when they become smarter players with a few more years experience. If the offense catches up a little bit to the defense the Bears will be a scary team to play in the future. Mark my words.
Doctor: Palmer knee injury 'potentially career-ending' Carson Palmer's went down on his first pass in a playoff game in what could potentially be his last game. This quote is from the doctor who helped work on Palmer "On a scale of one to three, it was a four," he said. "It was off the chart. It was pretty badly damaged -- shredded is the better term." This is horrible news and a tragic situation but Carson is still a young guy and I don't think we've seen the last of him.

Marcus Vick's downward spiral continues... The former Virginia Tech quarterback, kicked off the team last week for unsportsmanlike behavior and legal troubles, now has more of the latter, after allegedly brandishing a gun during an argument in a McDonald's parking lot.

"He didn't get a play call in one time. He mumbled and Freddie Mitchell yelled out the play we were trying to bring in. He was puking at the same time, trying to hold it in." -- Eagles center Hank Fraley, on the Eagles last drive Sure sounds like the QB I want taking my team the distance in crucial situation. Yes the panthers looked awfully good but think about it. Bears defense healthy = D.Foster looking human again. Bears 17 Panthers 10
Brett Favre & Marshall Faulk want to retire, but I don't think either should. In the case of Favre, though, if the Packer board allows Mike 'half-assed' Sherman to return next year, then I'd do it. He has said he'd play for Steve Mariucci, and Mariucci was screwed royally in Detroit, where this article comes from.

I'm not going to lie but I'll be happy when Favre retires. He can stop kicking the crap out of the bears then (except for this year of course). I also would'nt mind Faulk heading out to the Cardinals in a reunion with Warner. I think that offense with a running game could be awfully fun to watch.
It's official. The Toronto Blue Jays are the most improved team in baseball.

They'll be starting Halladay, A.J. Burnett, Gustavo Chacin, Ted Lilly, and an improving Josh Towers. That's pretty much the best front 5 in all of baseball. Thats a pretty good front five but unfortunately you are wrong. It pains me to say, but the White Sox have the best front five with Garland sticking around. They also have McCarthy waiting to get into the rotation if someone goes down. My vote goes for the White Sox having the best six man rotation.
How Bout Them Chargers! The Chargers, as we all know being the only team to beat the Indy Colts this year, there record is now 9-5 and are on there way to another playoff title. (lets just hope Keading has his leg ready this year for the post-season) 6 Bolts are going to the pro-bowl this year six!! quite an accomplishment I'd say, im a Lions fan but I gotta have love for those Bolts...there a young team with mucho talent! just keep an eye out football fans =D

Have the bears scored 28 on the Chargers? NO Could they. NO I suppose since the Bears haven't played the chargers this year then yeah I guess they haven't, but I don't think that it would impossible. Could the chargers put 28 on the Bears, Hell No! Bears 13 Patriots 10 Superbowl baby!
Russian Heavyweight Valuev Returns Champion’s Belt to Ruiz The agency said that one of Ruiz’s ringside team tried to keep the belt which did not fit the Russian boxer, but was prevented from doing so. However, a short time later, Valuev agreed to give the old belt to his defeated opponent as a souvenir.

Sports agent, 39, has last chance for Olympic dream today. The article is nearly a month old, but I heard on NPR this morning that Patrick Quinn, after failing to qualify for the USA speed-skating team over the past two Winter Olympics, will attempt to qualify for the two-man luge USA team today. All he and luge partner Christian Niccum need to do is finish fifth at Lake Placid today, in the final World Cup race of the year. This after missing the previous qualifying race just one month ago when they wiped out and Niccum had to be taken to hospital with a concussion. Anyone know where I can get a live radio or Net audio or news feed for this event?

Royals add 4 Free Agents It appears that the Royals are actually spending that new found payroll in an attempt to turn around their dismal skid.
