Another real person found rcade's comment chafing again. P.S. to rcade: How come they always find you? "maybe you should get rid of your all knowing attitude and make some friends... old[er] man" (kidding)

People please: Keep your hands and legs in at all times while riding the rcade. thankyou. But seriously folks. ...happened to be in the wrong place when this happened...this could have happened at 2 in the afternoon... But it didn't happen in 2 in the afternoon. rcade's tangent was that its unfortunate that these things happen, and isn't it strange that they happen at these odd hours(?). i think. be gentle...

I think the issue with this is sounding like a parent. Which is neither good nor bad. It is an opinion, which I happen to agree with. Honestly, I could easily see myself reacting badly to rcade's comments several years ago. But experience has taught me the wisdom and truth of such lamenting, though it has yet to teach me to abstain from such activities. Has anyone seen the new Chris Rock stand-up routine, and his spiel about why ATMs are open 24-7 and how drugs sell themselves? I know I'm up to no good when I'm up late, which I assume to be the case for most folks. 'No good' is a relative term, but we all know what it means. I'd include 'carrying a firearm' in the 'no good' category.

and i think everyone agrees that danger lurks everywhere, all the time, but we all don't sit in our homes in fear. that goes without saying, imho.

i didn't get the "isn't it strange that they happen at these odd hours" vibe from his comments. it seemed more like, you're inviting trouble if you're at a social gathering at 2am, because only bad things happen at that time.

Some of my worst moments happened at 3am so I do not see how rcade should get chastised. It isn't like he is disrespecting the girl who was killed.

I think SpoFi's google page rank is pretty high (for some unfathomable reason!?), which means people doing vanity searches for themselves often end up here. I was recently emailed by a radio 5 live presenter (who shall remain nameless of course) who thought I'd slagged him off in a particular thread. Needless to say I was misquoted.

Really BigCalm? Can I just take a moment to say that Peter Taylor is a cunt and I hate him?

rcade has been one of my favorite internet celebrities for a long time now, and this just cements his place as my number one heartthrob.

yeah, i should add i'm a fan as well. hell, i think up 'arcady' nicknames.

Really? All I can ever think of is "Arcade", as in For the record, I did see the last Chris Rock special. And liked it (FWIW).

dude, that's gotta go on rcade's profile.

I could never figure out what Arcade's powers were, but it was easy to see why the X-Men always kicked his ass. Another real person found rcade's comment chafing ... I'm this community's ill-fitting athletic supporter. The last time this happened was fun. The misunderstanding was meaningless and Chris Felty and I exchanged pleasant "I love you man" e-mails afterwards. Here, though, not so much fun. But it ought to vindicate Jeff's decision to be my colonoscope.

rcade's ginger? That explains a lot. ;-) FWIW, which if I remember correctly is very little, I agree with his 3am spiel, when related to professional sportsmen.

wait, so arcade is the evil spawn of carrot top and john davidson?

d'oh, lose the "a"

I could never figure out what Arcade's powers were I don't have an exact answer for you (a product of the '70s, his powers seem to be derived from an unhappy childhood caused by divorce), but I would say he's a Super Contractor, 'cause how the hell did he get those places built? And with no one noticing. If he got any of that shit approved by a zoning comittee, you can put him up in the Beyonder/ Galactus power category.

Also, while most people know Arcade from the Claremont/ Byrne run on X-Men, I think he made more appearances in Marvel Team-Up, where a complete lack of useful abilities wasn't a problem. It was like an extended Marvel Try-Out: the writer can create any trap he wants and the artist gets to draw it.

most people know Arcade from the Claremont/ Byrne run on X-Men true. but byrne "owns" a lot of of characters that he didn't create in most fans minds. but byrne/claremont did actually create him, and in the same comic as Captain Britain's US debut! (I like this outfit as opposed to the seminal Union Jack unitard. hee hee, tard.) < /geek>

< geek> bye the bye, no super powers. evil genius with a propensity for toying with his prey long enough for it to escape? yes. just another high-paid hitman and disney wannabe. see it all here. < /geek>

I laughed my ass off when I read that. For the record, we still like you rcade, even if you are a crochety old puke. You still can't come to my party, though.

For the historical record, the suggestion I made earlier regarding Iris Dickerson being hot has turned out, in retrospect, to be horrifyingly wrong. Holy mother of Candy Slice! Twizzlers, however, are still good.
