Barry Bonds an Angel? At the end of his column today, Randy Youngman helps spread the rumor that Barry Bonds could become an Angel next season. I think I'll move!

Comments

Wow. Thanks for a protected link and one sentence at the end of a notes column chronicling what someone missed while on vacation. u: tinkles p: 123456789

what is going on with Bonds? anyone know?

Who gives a shit about Bonds? They have made it harder to use steroids in baseball, so now he will be useless.

I Think he is trying to figure out what he is going to feed himself to play at the same level he has through his last 5 years... oh, and he's tired

I'll care about bonds again if and when he plays..

If I'm Barry Bonds, I DH. The Suburban Angels of Planet Earth are as good a choice as any.

If the Pirates are competitive, then obviously it will be good for baseball. Cuban doesn't seem to like losing, and doesn't mind shelling out to TRY to win, so i think it will be a good deal all together for Pitt and their fans.

They have made a huge deal about Rafael Palmeiro getting in the HOF. With everything swirling around Barry, is he going to get in the HOF? I don't miss Barry Bonds at all. It wouldn't hurt my feelings if he never plays again.

I agree with you, "play", but I think your comment goes with a different post. :-)

Your "nicknames" are almost as brilliant as your links. Keep up the good work.

No way in hell the Giants let Bonds go. He sells TIX....period. Without him, they would hardly turn a profit (if at all).

No Bonds "sold" tickets. He will still sell a few more until people realize he is a great player on steriods and a good one without.

I don't give a shit about the whining Barry Bonds either. His injury leave is like the eye of a hurricane; everything is peaceful!

Bubba, who knows when he first started using? This much we should agree on: Bonds was already a great player when he left Pittsburgh after '92.

Your "nicknames" are almost as brilliant as your links. Keep up the good work. Thanks for the compliment, "yuki"

While I agree with what you say about Bonds being great before leaving Pittsburgh, I can't bring myself to believe that he would have ever come close to a homerun record. It's hard enough to try and believe that Big Macs' record is a clean one after his dodging the question in front of the senate a couple months back. Fact is, Bonds is an egomaniac who believes he is above the other players as well as the whole game of baseball. If he returns, and I mean IF...I really won't care. There are plenty of players who deserve much more attention than he by far.

I prefered "Goldie". If you want anyone to remember these you're gonna have to be more consistent. Chris Berman made a name for himself this way and it wouldn't have happened if he was switching it up every Sunday.

Chris Berman made a name for himself this way and it wouldn't have happened if he was switching it up every Sunday. For once you're right...from now on, it's "Goldie".

I'll be waiting for the next Angels-related link that goes nowhere.

Much like the team. How meta. Especially for a team that changed cities with nary a U-Haul to be seen.

OK Goldie, just where would you like a link to go? And fat, have you looked at the standings lately?

Preferably to something that doesn't require a password, and if it does please provide one. btw, you forgot the quotation marks. Consistency. Eyes on the prize.

"Goldie", I hate to admit it but you're right again about the quotation marks and consistency. But, I didn't realize my link required a password. When I click on it above, I get right into the link without the need for a password. I appreciate your instructional comments here. Not all of the rules are explained in the link guidelines.

What would we do without Goldie?
