Sports Bio

I grew up in the 60's and 70's. The Yankees and Dodgers were my favorite teams until the 1965 WS when I became a Twins fan. The Killer, Carew,Tony O etc. The 87 and 91 series were the most memorable.

Big fan of the Packers and the T-wolves.

Being a Twin's fan is a very emotional process.. I have suffered with many a losing season so when they make the playoffs, its like a holiday!. The 91 series, to me was the best ever. I think that my heart stopped when Pucket hit the walk-off homer in game six. I love baseball in all of its various forms, from little league to the majors.

Four years ago, May 2nd, 2002, I was diagnosed with inoperable Lung cancer. My currant job is fighting the good fight! I truely believe that my progress against cancer is a direct result of my Christain faith. I like a good joke as long as its not at the expence of my Faith. I am also not a good speller.

Royals take credentials from two reporters. The reporter says they have been kept from doing their job. Interesting story. This brings up a point I often wondered about. Can one keep the media from covering something? This type of story makes one think about the issue.

Morneau is your AL MVP What makes this even more impressive is that he was splitting votes with a teammate, Joe Mauer. That has hurt past candidates, including David Ortiz and Manny Ramirez. Morneau is the second Canadian-born player to win the MVP.

You can Throw all the stats you want at this aruguement.. Morneau emerged as the leader of the Twins. He indded deserves this award. Mauer will get his MVP award soon enough. And you know, Jeter might win one again, down the road . So enough wit the "Jeter was robbed"

I was shocked that Morneau won cause I thought that Jeter would be "crowned" "King of the World" For the first time in a long time the voter got it right. Morneau was was indeed the MVP of his Team and and of the League. He carried the Twins when Mauer and Santana didnt, I called this along time ago, and people thought I was nuts!

Smudge Gate is that one little "story" that is being used by FOX and ESPN to create some excitement in the Yankee/Red Sox less World Serious! You knew that they would have found something. Kenny Rogers actually did them a favor.

Pine tar or No Pine Tar, Kenny Rogers is an above average pitcher that tends to be very streaky. So if he gets racked next time out it may not be the lack of pine tar or other "help."

mlb.com reports handshake labor deal The primary issues have been increased revenue sharing and a competitive balance tax. If it goes through, this will be the first time ever a deal has been reached before the active collective bargaining agreement expired. Nobody is confirming anything yet, because the deal has to be written up and signed -- and if you're wondering why that takes so long, here's the most recent CBA [pdf].

Yankees, Looking Powerless, Face Elimination While Twins’ season swept away in disappointing finale.

The Twins just Didnt have what it took to win the series. Everybody was worried about the pitching and it really wasnt the pitching that let them down. Johan did his job that day and So did Boof. Radke could have had a win if only had the offence broken through, The Twins are going to go far with the group they half. Too much has been made of Torii's missed line drive. Its how he plays the game. This team wont have too many change next year I am really looking forward.

The "clutchiest" hits in MLB playoff history.
From Ortiz to Branca, from Brosius to Gibson, a semi-statistical breakdown of the biggest hits in MLB playoff history. So who had the clutchiest hit ever?

Tony Womack?!

1991 World series games six Kirby Puckett goes deep off of Charlie Liebrandt. The next game we saw the clutchiest pitching performance ever. Those two games say it all for me, when you are talking about clutch performers.

The Media sure looks stupid now! I blame any "over-coverage" directly to the Media. They need to WAIT until ALL of the facts are out! We dont know exactly what happend last night and we may never know. I just chuckled when Dan Patrick realized that he wasted 3 hours on a "non-story".
