Okay, I really hate those Flash-driven sites. Good for her, but I ain't coming back until they change it...

Change what? She won the race.

He's talking about the second link (Katherine Legge) which is to her personal website. It is Flash-driven so you have to wait for it to load. I don't like them either, but I included it since it was to her own site.

"Legge, however, has consistently insisted she wants to be seen as a race car driver and not a sex symbol." Interesting quote, Especially since the Her Web sight gives the opposite impression...

I don't think Danica needs to be moving over just because another woman won a race in a support race. If she had won in the Champ Car Series that would be a different story. Until she wins in the premier series, it doesn't mean much.

#1) I know about the flash-drive. #2) If Danica is going to maintain credibility, she needs to win, and soon. 2 poles and one #2 spot and no win? Maybe it's not that easy after all. And everybody starts somewhere. Toyota series is'nt exactly racing go carts either.

She's a rookie and as such she's trying to establish credibility as a driver. Two poles, a number two finish and a raft of top 10 finishes in her rookie year is doing just that as far as I'm concerned. And when did Danica Patrick ever claim that racing was easy?

With the exception of the Indy 500, which is still impossible to watch in its entirety.... Indy cars are still boring... even if she wins 5 in a row..... But Danica is Hot

"With the exception of the Indy 500, which is still impossible to watch in its entirety.... Indy cars are still boring" How can you say IndyCar is boring? Compared to the other leagues, there is nothing more exciting. What other series has nearly as many races that are decided by what amounts to a photo finish? F-1, is nothing more than a parade without bands, no passing or real racing. (Or even a real race as in the case of this year's US GP.) NASCAR with it's yellow flags near the end of the race for no reason other than to bunch the cars up in an attempt to make it close, not to mention the contact to pass or move cars out of the way. Where is the driving skill in that? Try that crap in open wheel, and you usually end up in the fence along with the car you are bumping. As far as Danica v. Katherine, more power to both of them. Danica will win a race, maybe not this season, but it will happen. Have any of the other rookies won a race this year? As long as she is on a team that can provide first class cars, she will be a threat. That's just my 2 cents...

Nascar is exciting... even though some of the fans can't understand some of the drivers slang mixed with a far south accent, these guys are exciting... Indy racing sucks... hell, you can't even pronounce most of the drivers names, this doesn't help any... Indy Racing is BORING PERIOD... and it will NEVER be anywhere near as popular an event as NASCAR. forget about it Casey Kahne Baby !!!!

Actually, it is possible to watch an entire Indy race, even the 500. Perhaps your ADD kicks in before the race is over. I am not sure what pronouning names has to do with the entertainment value, but lets try a few exercises. Ed Carpenter. Sound it out. This next one is a little tougher, so stay with me. Helio Castroneves. Sound it out slowly and you will find it is not that difficult. Next week we will work on European NBA player names.

I find NASCAR a lot more boring than F1 or ChampCars.

And Danica races in neither. She races in IRL. The points leader, who also WON the Indy 500, seldom get's mentioned. I belive the shirt he wore after the Indy race was "I'm the one who won the Indy 500". Either way it sucks for legit racers who get sidelined by the media. His car owner is also an Andretti, so there's even more history there. If anyone cares. Maybe we could get Mario to pose with one of his cars in a bikini.

P.S. Helio is also running 5th. Hope you can pronounce that.

Ok, what the hell happened to sports? Who cares about Danica and some other chick Legge? The media is so hungry to find minorities to do well in any sport that they create a fantasy for fans that dont follow the sport close enough to know better. From the black quarterback to chicks trying to race and play golf with men. If Danika is really fast thats awesome, it sounds like I wont be waiting as long for that beer.

I believe they call you a pig racer. The faster we can make you a bigger pig ,YOU WIN.

"Ok, what the hell happened to sports? Who cares about Danica and some other chick Legge? Danica is obviously a good driver (for a rookie, which seems to be lost in all the hoopla). I am tired of the "Danica Show" that surrounds the IRL now, although it is helping to promote the series. Danica will win eventually, as long as she has the top notch equipment the Rahal/Letterman team is providing. If Sarah Fisher, Lynn St. James or Janet Guthrie had the first class equipment that Danica has, this would be a non-issue now. Mario in a bikini??? There isn't enough beer in the world to make me want to see that!! :>)

thanks for the English lesson... I am speaking on behalf of the fans that make nascar what it is... A GROWING, GREAT SPORTING EVENT every time out... The IRL can only hope to get the type of fan base that NASCAR currently has... and the fans that NASCAR has will never buy into anyone named Helio.... The die hard loyal fans that nascar has now are the SAME type of people that the IRL will have to sell their boring cicuit to in order to get to where they want to be with the fans and overall prestige
