A great moment in sideline reporting history:: Suzy Kolber interviews Joe Namath during the Patriots-Jets game, and the result is something that probably won't make the NFL Films 2003 Jets highlight package. (audio and video links)

Sorry 'bout the low quality of the video but it was the only one I could find (I doubt it's the sort of thing ESPN makes or will make available on their website).

I couldn't believe it when I saw that, hilarious. He was definitely three thirty sheets to the wind at that point. Props to Suzy, she handled it well.

That was an amazing moment. My girlfriend and I were in the middle of a conversation (since they had cut to the sidelines) and she stopped mid-sentence to point out Joe was tanked. I wish Suzy had been less professional about it and let him grope her for all the world to see.

Saw it this morning on Sportscentre...when did Joe cross the line from legend to out-and-out loon anyway? He seemed just shy of self-drool. Anyway I howled when I saw it, and I don't feel bad.

That was hilarious. I just played it for my colleagues, and they're still laughing. Lovable drunks are so fun...

It was a painfully hilarious TV moment that could rival any scene from The Office. IMO, of course.

HAHAHAHAHA! Oh, sweet Christ, that's awesome. I saw an article about this (just a blurb on ESPN), but nowhere in the article did they use the worlds "COMPLETELY SHITFACED", which is an essential part of the story. I can't thank you enough for that video link.

I bet you when Joe woke up this morning he walked into the bathroom, looked into the mirror. . . and saw that his former teammates wrote, "I'm a dick!" all over his face while he was passed out.

That on-air boner is nothing compared to the one from the Dallas Cowboys locker room a few weeks ago.

Did they ever identify the player in that shot, rcade? (And I can't believe you made a pun out of that.)

Let me just say that when I am like 150 years old, half crippled from having my knees ripped to shreds and completely buttfaced from pounding hard liquor, I can only hope I will still have the stones to make complete idiot of myself in front of millions of people in the pursuit of getting laid. I hereby vow to buy a Namath throwback jersey.

That Suzy's a cute girl but the most disturbing part of the interview was that Suzy's voice was lower than Joe's.
