Bruins go 12-0-1 in November - one month without a regulation loss for the first time since going 10-0-4 in January 1969.

A head-first cheerleader fall shut down Michigan State's basketball game for several minutes. Second video.

Well he was not out of a job for long. Dont really understand when a team jumps on a coach who was just let go. He has shown his lack of ability to lead a pretty good team like the Caps to anything, What do the ducks think he will change?

Boudreau was the fastest coach to 200 wins in the history of the NHL. It remains to be seen whether the Caps inability to win when it really counts can be attributed to him.

As the saying goes ... You can't fire the players.

Interestingly, if it was Carlyle who had been fired by Anaheim first he'd be the Washington coach. Beaudreau realized the Caps had to chage their game if they had any hope come playoff time, most of his rich foreign superstars never bought in to the plan.

How about Rob Ryan in Jacksonville?

posted by rcade at 11:31 AM on December 01, 2011

I wonder if Rob and Rex, like their dad, will in the end prove to be great coordinators but not great head coaches. See also Norv Turner, Steve Mariucci.

I think Ryan would be able to get fans in the seats. He seems to have inherited the family trait of saying too much.

The Colts will start Dan Orlovsky at QB this week in an attempt to resurrect their season.

Orlovsky, one may recall, helped QB the immortal 2008 Detroit Lions during their historic alldefeated season. It is only fitting that he be tabbed to reprise that role with Indy.

I don't know why the Colts don't have Peyton stand with the OC and when the teams are lining up over the ball, have him look over the D and go into his Punch and Judy pre-snap routine on the sideline before each play.

There'd be no problem with the offense not getting the signals. You can hear Manning all the way to the Illinois border.

And Jim Sorgi is still waiting by the phone.

Kyle Orton's farewell to Denver (not really).

So you're saying Dan Orlovsky is on track to become a fascinating trivia piece in NFL history? I can't wait to see the inevitable 30 for 30 piece on him.

Would you like to see the Inaugural Big Ten Championship Game Live in Indianapolis?

Apparently, the answer is no.

We'll post this teaser haiku up now and should have everything else ready to go by tomorrow afternoon.

Please, no more Ryans. Rob Ryan couldn't possibly get more face-time as head coach of the Jags than he does now in Dallas. And if he had short hair and weighed 200 pounds less nobody would even care.

FYI, Indy LB Ernie Sims was also a member of the '08 Lions...

I sometimes wonder if Jason Garrett even bothered to show up to the game.

I know. We'd probably be surprised how many people who are casual fans of NFL football don't even know Garrett is the head coach.
