Five Reasons to Watch the World Series So it's not Manny being Manny and shots of Ben Affleck sitting in the stands. It is still going to be a great series for all the right reasons.

Ahh yes Great success!!!! Most people who are familiar with heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko know that he's Ukranian. What's less widely known is that Klitschko was actually born in Kazakhstan. What are his views on Borat

Steeler announcing great dies at 79 He was Pittsburgh's Harry Carry. You loved or hated him. Very rarely did he make sense but more times then not, you found youself turning down the TV and turning up the radio to hear Cope announce the game. He was a legend in Pittsburgh and he will not soon be forgotten. If you never heard him, you missed a great one. Pop open an Iron City at Cope's Cabana and drink to one of the greats.

NFL overtime rules? Don't ask McNabb "No, I didn't know that," Donovan McNabb said at his postgame press conference, saying he was not aware that one overtime is all you get in the NFL in the regular season. Then McNabb compounded his error by not knowing the postseason overtime rule. Those games do play to a conclusion for obvious reasons, but McNabb said, "I hate to see what happens in the Super Bowl or I hate to see what happens in the playoffs. You have to settle with a tie." A real student of the game.

Halloween for 82 games. 50+ photos of the NHL's masked men and their masks. Better than anything you'll find in your local drug store's Halloween section. (SI)

After accidentally posting this in the locker room, I gave it a second try. This series makes me want to watch. If it were the Sox and the Dodgers, I would probably watch the series through Espn highlights. I like the chance to see teams that havent been there before. I like seeing the looks of awe on players faces their first time being announced in the SuperBowl, the Stanley cup finals, The World Series. I hate seeing the same guys there year after year that take it for granted and dont show the excitement.
Good Luck Coach Maddon. You look like one of the Hanson Brothers with those glasses and that does it for me. Go Rays!!!

Millen out as Lions president, GM Detroit fans, your wish appears to have finally come true.

I have a friend who lives in Detroit. He just emailed me his top lines said on sports radio today from a Detroit sports talk station::
"I haven't been this happy since my wife divorced me 5 years ago"
"The Lions are now the only team in NFL history to get a win in there bye week" (bye week this week)
"This must be like how the Ewoks felt at the end of Star Wars!" (My favorite!)
"Never have 2 people getting fired made a whole city so happy!" (talking about the mayor)

bperk. Do you honestly think players and fans alike in the division especially are not pumped knowing Brady is out. I would like to come live in your world for a while if you do. Unless you are a new England fan, (most of which are currently on suicide watch.) or a fantasy owner, you cant say that Brady being gone doesnt open up the league a little. No one hopes for serious injury, but most people dont feel bad for the other team either. With Indy stinking it up last night, and the Chargers not playing well, alot of AFC teams are feeling they have a chance today.

The Hoser's NFL Picks, Week One 2008 Welcome back to another season of the NFL's most misguided and useless handicapping sheet. At least the price is right.

New Stadiums: Prices, and Outrage, Escalate But even as fans of the Mets, the Yankees, the Giants and the Jets look forward to state-of-the-art stadium architecture, better sightlines, wider concourses and more bathrooms, some of them are also facing startling increases in ticket costs during a serious economic downturn.......The Giants Mara offered a blunt lesson in market-driven economics on WFAN radio this month. We have 130,000 people on our waiting list,-- he said. We could charge anything and still fill the stadium.--

Sorry i didnt pack my own beer but come on, how much more pittsburgh can you get. I honestly didnt really believe that the cup was even going to be at this party till I got there. I was thinking yeah, right, the cup up in plan 12 in Aliquippa! YEAH THATS THE TICKET!!! But there it was.
I am sure the always compassionate Philly fan will let this error slide.
