2nd Annual MLB Disabled List Fantasy Pool: Where have you gone Carl Pavano? A nation turns its lonely eyes to you...

Basically, the same rules as last year. Pick one each of C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, SP, and RP and 3 OF for your team. (Last year we did OF by position, but it's easier to just have 3 OF -- kind of like Gold Glove and All Star voting.) In terms of positional eligibility, players who are primarily or solely DHs can be listed as a 1B; for other players, make a good faith effort to just try to list players whose primary position is the selected position. Players who start the season on the DL (e.g., Pavano) or on the day you submit your picks (e.g., Elijah Dukes, who was placed on the DL today after the first Nats game yesterday) are only eligible for future DL stints, so they have to return and then go on the DL before you start getting credit for DL days. Highest aggregate number of days on the DL at the end of the season wins.

BJ's already on the DL too. And is it worse for a man or a woman to be known as BJ? And is Sanders signed with anyone yet for this season? I hadn't heard.

David Ross is also already on the DL. There's a list of players currently on the DL by team here. Just to keep things even and honest, I am going to exercise my plenary powers to declare Doug Davis ineligible for his first stint on the DL (Arizona has announced that he is going to make one start and then go on the DL for treatment for thyroid cancer).

Damnit, I had Pedro on my draft list yesterday but didn't post. Seems wrong now.

Sure, Sheffield can be an outfielder. I know he was classified as such in at least one fantasy league I saw.

Hopefully Sheffield doesn't play any outfield. Last time he tried that he went and messed up his shoulder.

A.J. Burnett will last 4 innings. Wait... wait, no, he's staying in the game. Never mind.

If he could just have a healthy year, A.J. Burnett could be dominating. He's tough (especially on the Yanks).

Wow you guys who picked Sheffeild sure nailed it. Looks like he left in the 5th with a dislocated finger. (Damn the Royals are 3-0. Is it snowing in Maui right now?)
