MLB Disabled List Competition Final Results: After some seriously antiquated stat checking and hand calculating, the results are in for the first (and last?) ever SpoFi MLB disabled list fantasy extravaganza.

Congrats to YukonGold, whose inspired picks of Pavano and Baldelli were enough to push him over the edge. Also, a note on scoring -- this only counts days missed on the DL. As many teams don't use the DL in September due to expanded rosters, certain players who were shut down early didn't earn DL days for September, while others who were shut down earlier and slopped over through the end of the year got credit for September. In terms of the DL MVP, it probably goes without saying that Pavano takes the cake, considering that he actually had to muster the courage to pitch at least one game prior to going on the DL in order for his stats to count. Way to go, Carl!!! P.S. -- Sorry, I don't do tables.

Holden, you totally rule for compiling all these. Congrats to the Golden Yukon for a golden performance. I knew Carl Pavano would come through!!!

I think the big surprises to me were Griffey at 0 (he was shut down in September, but not put on the DL) and David Wells as 0 (granted, he was released in there, but not due to injury -- he just flat sucked). dfleming got screwed on two players that might otherwise have helped him make up the small difference between him and Yukon -- Corey Koskie missed the whole year to injury (ineligible for no stint on the active list) and Todd Greene never made it up to the majors. Likewise, lbb lost a potential treasure trove of points on account of Nick Johnson never making a token appearance.

We have to do this again next year.

Shouldn't have gone back on the Piazza pick. How many days was that - had to be close to 100. I've got Piazza down for 77 -- so it would have been a more comfortable margin of victory, for sure.
