*Feature Request* - Blog recommendations.: Would it be too much trouble to ask my fellow SpoFites to recommend blogs (or columnists) that give good insight (or discussion) on their favorite teams or sports?

Yankees (just stay away from the comments section); best non-newspaper affiliated Yankees blog is Bronx Banter. Red Bulls/All things Soccer (except for women's coverage) Rangers

Seconding goddam's LoHud recommendation (which I found via my Red Sox recommendation, which makes my recommendation awesomesquared).

Boston Dirt Dogs is awesome. Josh Beckett should be traded for having one bad outing! Get rid of this Papi guy, who had an o-fer last night! The Yankees are catching up! Super positive spin on all things Red Sox.

This thread is the sort of thing that can be handled quite well by our wiki. Fan Blogs as suggested by SportsFilter members.

"I swear every time I mention the wiki everyone goes quiet :)" To be fair, I made this post in connection with another thread. Guess what the first words out of my mouth were.

Holy crap, nemo. Your second comment there was SpoFi's 150,000th. Congrats! Here's your take-home version of the Locker Room, a year's worth of Tide, and forty pounds of smoked sausage from Big Ted's Smokin' Meatery. Enjoy!

Suuuuure. Notice the wiki when it is borked :) It is back. Not sure why the upgrade to 1.11 didn't work, but we restored things to how they were before I screwed up. So start adding things!!!!!! toodles!

The Main Page of the wiki still looks borked to me, black text on a black background.
posted by MrFrisby at 04:55 PM on September 24
MrFrisby: I get that on a rare occasion, but reloading the page seems to work. Email me if you continue to have issues and I will investigate.

I have looked at the CSS and I can't figure out why that black on black thing happens occasionally. But it is rare that I see it.

I've posted this somewhere before, but here goes again: The Raleigh News & Observer has two sports-related blogs: ACC Now for all of your ACC needs. Lord Stanley's Blog for all of your Carolina Hurricanes needs. My favorite News & Observer sports columnist is Luke DeCock. It took the paper long enough to find a decent Hurricanes beat reporter, but he was worth the wait. Great stuff. He writes about more sports than the Hurricanes, but not by much during the hockey season.
