Hooray for others taking initiative on the updates. I doubt I'll have time to post tables this season. As for my team, I've again spurned Thierry Henry, so don't expect to see me in the top half of the table all season.

*slipstreams leader, freewheeling to victory* Lest we forget, it's a marathon not a sprint. Well done on a top notch first week Super Clam. 100th out of 230,000 ain't bad. Okocha is a flash in the pan though. I hope I don't live to eat those words.

I remember Okocha finished strongly for Bolton last season, and was quite lucrative to have on the team ... at least in Premierleague.com scoring. I'm no.8 and breaking into the top 5 next!

LFCFilter: Does anyone know what injury is keeping Chris Kirkland off the squad this time? I checked PhysioRoom, did some googling and BBC'ing but cannot turn up anything more recent than last season's wrist articles. ChelseaFilter: For a 2-0 team, they are just barely playing well enough to win. Last week was semi-understandable but today against Birmingham 1-0 was a joke. If it wasn't for the fact that Forsell cannot play against CFC and that left them with Heskey up front, I don't know that Mourinho would be sitting so pretty.

FB, I read that yesterday he wasn't even on the sub bench and it was due to injury. Since you're in England I assume you have better sources than me. Will be interesting to see who plays against Graz though.

Thanks FB. WC, had Soccernet's play by play open for that game. What an amazing 15 minutes, from 49 through 64. And as 22 of us have Henry, very nice points, but how many have him as captain. I do.

Caught some highlights late last night, and all I can say is...Wow. The Arsenal match was chalk full of sick goals. My favorite was the defender looking to cross the ball to the right post, noticed the goalie cheating, and then blasting away from miles out. Awesome. And who is the dude who could've already scored the goal of the year; the flick-up to the booming spin-o-rama? Wow.

2 points today...lookout!! And Kirkland sucks...brittle piece of crap. Liverpool have two dead weights still bringing down the team, Kirkland and Carragher. The sooner they are gone, the sooner Liverpool will be a contender. Sad about Michael Owen.

Kewell is awesome... Talk about targetting the wrong man... Anytime any Liverpool player is in trouble, what do they do? They pass to Kewell as he is the only creative midfielder they have. He takes on players, thats why he loses the ball sometimes, but no other Liverpool player does that besides Baros and now maybe Cisse.

Kewell is a punk who should go back to Oz so he can be the big man he so obviously wants to be. /sarcasm Did any of you see the Chelsea-CP match yesterday? I was really unimpressed with the winners. I don't know who was doing color commentary, some former player, but he made the point that for all the talent so far they're playing like a collection of stars rather than a team. Some good work rate from players like Cole and Babayaro but then you wonder how much playing time those two will get against top-rank squads when Bridge, Huth, Robben and Duff are healthy.

It's not Alonso that Kewell needs to be worried about. It's Luis Garcia. Says Benitez of his newest signing: "Luis has been with several clubs, he is a good scorer and he can battle for the ball and pass well. He is always moving and is sharp and clever. ... He can use right or left foot and it is difficult to find players who can do that. He played as a striker for Barcelona's youth team and as a winger for me at Tenerife, he is a good bet to play anywhere." Sweat, Kewell, sweat. And go, Liverpoooooooooool!

Sauril, every team plays 38 matches by the last day but not always on the same schedule. Liverpool and ManU had CL qualifiers this midweek (both went through) and so couldn't play any EPL games. Speaking of Arsenal, who here thought Fabregas was going to play well enough to question Wenger's decision not to sell Viera? Not that a 17 year old is quite his equal, but they are a convincing 3-0 without him and the Gunners sure could use that GBP28M.

I've already given up on this year. I'd truthfully be shocked if Arsenal were to drop a single point this season, or if Henry were to fail to figure, either by scoring or by assist, in any fewer than seventy league goals. And don't tell me how abnormal that is, because I know. But it'll happen, mark my words. The future of the Premiership is Thierry Henry's boot stomping on a human face forever. My only chance to stay respectable would be to blow up my entire squad and rebuild around Henry, but every fibre of my being rebels against the idea. Henry is now the Real Madrid and the Manchester United combined of this fantasy league, with all that that implies. Tables or no tables, you'd all really rather I kept my mouth shut abot this for the rest of the year.

Bill, thanks. I guess what I thought was going on this week was that there were a few midweek games and then the rest on the weekend. I am regretting my Cisse instead of Reyes decision now... Taupe, I understand. I missed out on Henry last year and it killed me. Wasn't going to make that mistake again.

I think over the length of the season Henry and Cisse will be a higher scoring fantasy combo than Henry and Reyes if only because Pires, Bergkamp and Llundberg(sp?) will demand some of the playing time. And what about Fabregas? Does anyone have him on their team, in either league? Or will his playing time vanish with Viera's return?

Pires and Lungberg are midfielders, though. And Bergkamp has been playing alongside Henry and Reyes for a few games now. But unless Liverpool buy an established forward, Cisse's starting every game, so I might as well stick with him... Fabergas' playing time will definitely go down. Wenger has said as much.

Are you certain about that FB? If so email the FFL site and inform them of it. I'm not saying you'd get your five points back but if it alerts them to a problem then it's all for the good. I've found them to be very responsive to email queries. (Last season at least anyway).
