Seriously? The "anals"?

Yeah, that's a dumb comment, but the song itself is something else.

Hockey arenas should be playing this during breaks in play.

This is the greatest/worst song I've heard in a long, long time. rcade is right, every hockey game should feature this song somewhere between the chicken dance and the techno version of "Cotton Eye Joe." Thanks for posting this fabulon7. (Where are fabulons 1 through 6?)

take it from a musician....they should never allow that song to be played....anywhere....ever...for any reason....in fact, it is recordings like this (and Shatner doing ANYTHING vocally) that make me cringe. Just because you are famous does NOT make U a musician!!!

there is something about francophone-english talking hockey that makes me smile. great find.

The William Shatner comparisons are no longer apt. Shatner did an incredible spoken-word album with Ben Folds, Henry Rollins, and Joe Jackson.

I hear William Hung is doing a remake of this song. I can't wait to hear it!

No...Shatner DID do spoken word versions with some musicians...to call it "incredible" is like calling Donald Fehr a genious....it ain't happenin folks....

Wait. I'm a musician too, and frankly, I love that Shatner record. Think about it. Imagine his version of "Mister Tambourine Man" being played as a singalong during a break in play in the third period. 15,000 kids all yelling MISTER TAMBOURIIIIINEEE MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNN!!! at the top of their lungs. How cool would that be? Anyway. I totally want this record.

I'm talking about Has Been, not the thing Shatner did in the '70s.

i love Shatner's version of "Common People".

I liked Shatner's version of "Rocket Man". It was...interesting.

Thanks, Doc ... I'm never going to get off this site. I'm listening to just about everything.

I kept expecting Grover or Bert and Ernie to come on and start counting, or reciting the alphabet, or something.

rcade: okay, yeah, but I just had that visual in my head and had to get it out. Admit it, the Gainesville Shatners (or wherever) would sell out games on concept alone.

Damn....I PLAY Frank Zappa material, and I cannot even find the humor...it is more embarrasing to me than anything else...oh well...guess I am the minority (HAHAHAHA - A F. Zappa fan being a minority...what a concept)...

"i love Shatner's version of "Common People"." Word. That track is something else.

I just listened to the track now (a week later) and that was 5 min and 22 seconds of wicked.
