At this moment, Cedric Benson, court-ordered breathalyzer ignition lock and all, is leading the league in rushing. Who knew?

Maybe a haiku week is in order?

Seriously? That's freaking awesome. Will it include Yorks and Lancasters as well considering there were only 5 Tudor monarchs (6 if you included Jane Gray's 10 day reign) I was always a big fan of Bloody Mary's work. Sorry for the non-sports related geek-out.

Colts owner Bob Irsay won't vote for Limbaugh. An owner needs the approval of 24 of 32 teams.

Hater, this set will only cover the first three seasons of the show. We're still building the checklist right now, but the base set will have 15 or so main character cards and then a couple cards per episode for the first 28 episodes.

The insert cards will feature locations, children and other stuff we haven't determined yet.

Barcelona are reportedly ready reportedly ready to match the 32.5million Manchester City paid Real Madrid for him last year when the transfer window opens in January.

If this goes through, between the fee Barca will pay, City paid and Real Madrid paid his Brazilian club, will any player have had more spent on him while delivering less? Robinho looked great when he arrived at Madrid but has never consistently delivered and seems to disappear in meaningful games. Which is probably a key reason he is not getting first team minutes now, eh?

Great vid of a 9-year-old scoring in the Mini 1-on-1 at the Boston Garden, errrr TD Bank Center or whatever it's called this year.

Incredible shot!

Incidentally, Greg Wyshynski (the author of that blog post) used to spam us here in the early days under fake names -- but he'd use one name in his profile and another in email to complain about his posts disappearing. Good times.

Correction: Colts owner Jim Irsay.

Saw that on NESN yesterday. My only complaint is Mini One-on-One no longer features Bob Somebody or other, whose incredible Fraco-American patois once led me to ask my father what it meant for players in a 2-1 breakaway to come down the ice "side by each".

rcade: is Wyshynski the guy that posted all those really shitty 'sports comedy' flash videos back in the day? Because the guy that did that didn't appreciate me calling on it and definitely got a hold of my email and cellphone number and posted them on craigslist, 'giving away' my stuff. LOL.

If it's the same guy, I'm not going to read Puck Daddy anymore.

He posted links to these columns under the username pucksnsuds. I think the flasher was someone else.

So much for the Limbaugh-owned Rams

Incredible finish to the US-Costa Rica match tonight. Things have to be pretty grim in Costa Rica after their ticket to the World Cup was snatched out of their hand with under 30 seconds left in stoppage time. Now they have to play Uruguay. They were so concerned for Oguchi Onyewu after his knee injury I will be rooting for them.
