My picks: Detroit (Zetterberg) over Pittsburgh (Hossa) in 6 games. Conn Smythe Winner: Zetterberg
Hmmm. I am going to be in a remote pup tent until the end of June and miss most of the finals (which look to be excellent hockey, dammit). So l won't be able to thrill in victory or agonize in defeat until it doesn't matter anymore, anyway. Pittsburgh in 6 Datsyuk & Crosby as goal scorers Malkin for the Conn Smythe (Maybe I should just pick exactly the same as NoMich.... heh) Drop the Puck!
Oh nice. I jumped up into contention for a medal. Doubt I can win this with that point disadvantage, but here goes: DET in SEVEN Datsyuk and Malkin Osgood for MVP (Though it's a tough one. I'd say Osgood would win it if the series lasts no longer than 5. Otherwise, who knows. A similar case can be made for Fleury -- who'd have ever imagined that?) Is Franzen expected to be back for Game 1? One more prediction: this is going to be a great series, even if the potential for a 4,5 game blow out is there.
Pens in Six Datsyuk and Malkin Malkin wins the Conn Smythe
Wings in 6 Zetterberg/Malkin Datsyuk wins the hardware. (With 7 helpers and 3 goals in the series.) (Please don't hold me to that, but I should get 20 extra points if it's right.)
Wings in six. Zetterberg and Malkin. Osgood wins the Conn Smythe.
Wings in 7 Zetterberg and Crosby Osgood
Wings in 5 Zetterberg/Hossa Zetterberg wins the Conn Smythe.
Costanza-bound! Pens in 7 Zetteberg Hossa Crosby wins the Conn Smythe (and gets the overtime winner in Game 7)
Detroit in four. Datsyuk / Crosby Osgood for Conn Smythe.
Detroit in seven Sykora and Zetterberg top goal scorers Lidstrom wins Conn Smythe tahoemoj takes home the Costanza
Pittsburgh in 5 Datsyuk & Crosby Osgood gets the Conn Smythe
So, like, if no one for Pittsburgh scores a goal do we all get one point?
