Tom Brady TD prediction contest: Tom Brady threw for his 27th touchdown in seven games today against the Dolphins. How many will he have when the regular season ends?

Basically, two questions: How many will he have at the end of the regular season? Tie breaker, in which game will he throw #50, if at all?

Extra bonus questions so there is less chance of a tie. Who catches #50 (if Brady makes it) and Who catches the final TD pass of the regular season thrown by Brady?

I like this game! Let's see...this is week seven...wow, this is going to sound crazy, but I'm going to say 62. He will throw #50 on 12/9 vs. the Steelers, and it will be caught by Wes Welker. The final Brady TD pass of the season will be caught by that most special of tight ends, Mike Vrabel.

Yeah, this could be alright. I got him for a measly 54, with El Mosso Grande catching #50 and, oh, Jabar Gaffney catching the last one in garbage time.

Oh, and #50 will come 12/16 against the J. E. T. S. Jets. Jets. oh, who am I kidding.

(thinks of all the terrible QBs the Fins have drafted since Marino retired and/or since Brady was drafted) (beats head against wall)

I predict he will end with 30 after he gets knocked out for the season in the next game as a result of karmic attribution for the Patriots running up the score this year. (Not to take anything away from the Patriots dominance; watching the first half yesterday was like watching a college football powerhouse play one of its early season, non-conference patsy opponents. You could say that the two teams just weren't in the same league. And just kidding about the above; I don't really think he'll get knocked out and certainly don't wish that upon him or anyone.)

Brady gets 46 TDs, rendering bonus question number one irrelevant. His final regular season TD pass will be caught by the ubiquitous Kevin Faulk.

attribution = retribution Man, my posting is not so well these days.

He ends with 57 with #50 being caught by Randy Moss against the Jets on 12/16. #57 will also be caught by Randy Moss.

54 total, with number 50 being caught by Donte Stallworth on 12/16 against the Jets.

420

He's going to throw only 28. On his 28th TD pass, his arm will come out of its socket, effectively ending his career.

His hand will become possessed like "Evil Dead 2" and he'll have to cut it off. But he'll attach a jai-alai like basket to the stump and then he'll throw for 54 touchdowns. #50 will be caught by Wes Welker 12/16 against the Jets. (Yes, I did copy that game and date from everyone else. Also, if people are thinking of copying off me, I'm not so sure about the possessed-hand part so be warned. I am pretty comfy with the 54 pick.) Stallworth catches #54.

Oh, yeah...Moss will catch the last one of the season, In the Superbowl, completing their perfect season.

In the regular season, hawkguy.

Oh, sorry. I missed that. I'll stick with 54 and Moss.

Game number 16 is the magic for #50 of Brady's gaudy total of 59 for the season. Ben Watson, back from injury, catches #50, and Kyle Brady closes out the rampage with #59.

Howard_T, so you think he's going to throw ten touchdowns in the final game? NoMich, who catches #28? holden, who catches #30?

posted by apoch at 08:06 PM on October 22, 2007

Sorry, yeah, Brady will catch Brady's 28th. Not the QB Brady, but that other Brady.

posted by NoMich at 09:08 PM on October 22, 2007

Whoa. This is a little early, no? I say 52. And.... Wes Walker.

posted by WeedyMcSmokey at 10:05 PM on October 22, 2007

apoch -- I don't really think Brady will throw only 30 touchdowns.

posted by holden at 10:25 PM on October 22, 2007

I think he'll end up throwing 47 touchdowns. No one will catch #50. The final one will be caught by Moss.

posted by grum@work at 11:14 PM on October 22, 2007

I'll take 55, with 50 coming on 12/23 against these same Dolphins. #50 will be caught by Ben Watson, and #55 will be caught by Donte' Stallworth.

What's the over/under on children spawned this season. For that, I'm gonna go with 16. For TD passes, 51 total, with Welker catching 51. The Brady/Brady hookup lands #50. Man, is he dreamy.

What's the over/under on children spawned this season. If he starts cruising the singles bars with Travis Henry, all bets are off.

#50 caught by Dallas ClarkKyle Brady early against the NYJ, or very late against the Steelers #61 by Moss - but no asterisk!

billsaysthis, in order to be able to get a point for the game pick you're gonna have to decide on one.
