Some consider them only another piece of equipment. : They don't understand that baseball gloves, like the game, are eternal.

A six-and-a-half-year-old article? Really?

Nice link! (Odd that it's a little older than your average FPP link. But still nice.) Makes me miss my late-70s vintage Wilson Richie Zisk glove . . .

Is newer necessarily better?

Just out of curiosity, how many baseball gloves do the rest of you have around your dwelling right now? I count 7 here. 1 each for my wife and I, 1 each for my two youngest, and 2 for my oldest still at home, and one more for a daughter that has since gotten her own home.

BTW, the glove wasn't the only thing left behind. Sweetie, come get the rest of your stuff.

Great question. I own three (outfielders, infielders, and catchers) and my father and brother each own one. There are also several that are old and not in use anymore but I can't give an accurate count on those.

There are 3 in my family. I have an outfielder's glove, and my wife and son each have an infielder's model. Of course, I used to borrow my wife's glove from time-to-time.
