He is just a man that run on emotion, nothing wrong with that.
Was Joe Torre a bad manager when his NY Yankees started the year off in a bad foot? - No! So now that Ozzie's team is going through tough times a lot of you want to bash on his skills as a skipper! The guy has made the White Sox a contender, and this team has no big All Stars in its line-up. He has won over 90 games in the season. To me, that speaks for it self. You guys must think Francona stinks too, since the Red Sox blew a fairly confortable lead down the stretch.... but didn't this guy lead them to a World Series last year? My point is, ups and downs happen in baseball, that's why there's a word for it, "SLUMPS". Call it choking or what not, Ozzie has entertained the south side of Chicago this year, and that's more than many managers with bigger payrolls and stars on their teams can say! By the way, Ozzie may not have been a great offensive shortstop, but defensively, he was among the elite for his era!
Ozzy was a very good player. He isnt have bas as a manager either. At least some of the credit for the team success this year should go to the GM who made some great deals assemble this team. The White Sox have discovered the major problem with "small ball", that the Twins learned about this year and the past three in the playoffs. That is that you still need some "boppers" in your line-up. Doesnt make a difference how good your pitching is, or how good your defence is. You have to have some HR power to go along with the speed and contact hitters of "small ball".
Was Joe Torre a bad manager when his NY Yankees started the year off in a bad foot? - No! So . . . what? All managers are good managers? All managers that have a streak of x or more wins in a row are automatically good? What's x? Seems like the reverse of your logic applies just as easily: just because Ozzie had a good streak earlier he's a good manager? No! Ozzie Guillen was never a "very good player". He was a fun player and decent in the field.
when it comes to the Indians i feel like im watching a modern day movie of MAJOR LEAGUE. I dont know if its that they are playing great ball or just alot of luck. Look at Hefner. He just hit another homerun just now. I think he has hit at leat 1 homer in the past 6 or 7 games. Sorry but hes no barry bonds.
Keep an eye out for a completely stripped cutout of one of the Jacobs family. Also: it's "Hafner". And he reminds me of an orc.
thanks on the correction for Hafner and ur right he does remind me of an orc.
"Ozzy is one big quote machine" Ozzy is not the same person as Ozzie. Just so's we're clear here.
"just because Ozzie had a good streak earlier he's a good manager? No!" I would never call a 90 > season a streak! You are ridiculous. Ozzy is a better manager than you will ever be a baseball fan! or critic for that matter. Go home and keep watching soccer or whatever other sport you watch, since obviously by your comments, you're pretty ignorant about BBall.
/watches field hockey while masturbating, contemplates the use of mathematical symbols where they don't belong
Ozzy or Ozzie they both speak crazy at times!
=Mmm+field >hockey-
yertfatman < stupidman
I didn't know anybody said Hafner was like Barry Bonds. He is a damn good DH for the Tribe though, this is his second season in a row with 100 + RBI for them. On a young team that is still going though the "rebuilding process" he is doing a fine job. Don't try to discredit him just because he lit your White Sox up this past week. Also before you go calling the Indians a modern day Major League You may want to wait and see what happens to your prescious little team next week. Overall, at least you didn't post this shit again: SCREW YOU CUBS FANS AT LEAST THE SOX STILL GOT A CHANCE. WHERE ARE THE CUBS, ALWAYS HURT AND BARELY AT .500. BUNCH OF BITCHES. GO SOX!!!!!!!!! posted by aztlan78 at 5:21 PM CST on September 15
