Equipment Problem: If I understand the rules of football, Lee Carsley of Everton is dangerously close to drawing a misconduct penalty for deliberate handling of the ball in this action sequence. (Warning: Viewer discretion is advised).

egads. is there a need to update soccer shorts a little bit? perhaps a little longer? maybe players should consider some of those compression shorts to keep everything tucked in?

How about some underpants? A cup/jock strap? Good God! This is not how I expected to start my Monday morning.

not good for my eyes

I like how it changes personality on the downswing.

speaking of gruesome sights, did anyone happen to see the Mallorca/Sevilla match, where Juan Arango, who also happens to write a column dealing with the rampant racism in Euro football, had to be carted off the field after his breathing stopped and was convulsing due to a collision with Javi Navarro. That 'rolling eyes' pic turns my stomach.

All we need is a picture of Gary Bettman's head, a copy of Photoshop, and we're done.

I like how it changes personality on the downswing. Now that's funny. That Arango pic is pretty bad.

That Arango picture reminds me of one of the worst things I've seen watching sports on TV. Around 8 years ago, Bryan Marchment was boarded and his head collided with the edge of penalty box door during a playoff game between San Jose and Dallas. The cameras were still rolling when he started convulsing, his arms jerking wildly, and I thought he was dying on the ice. (If I recall correctly, he had a severe concussion but recovered fully.)

That picture still isn't as bad as Mark Madsen dancing.
