Bears OL'men Fined 50G's Each: Fred Miller and Olin Kreutz were fined 50 LARGE each for fighting.

So here is my thought...teams ought to be like families. If I punch someone on the street, yeah take me to jail, but if I punch my brother (and I have, even at church once) it ought to be family business. As long as it was teammate vs. teammate, they shouldn't get fined. I think a more appropriate action would have been to fine Miller his pay for the game/games he missed, IF you felt like you should fine someone.

Furthermore, I think they should punch TO.

In fact, I think Saddam Hussein ought to have to share a cell with TO and everytime he acts like an idiot in court, Olin Kreutz should get to punch him. I couldn't think of two bigger loudmouthed dumbA$$es to share a cell.

You punched your bro in church? You're bad Wrigs, bad.

Then Kreutz should have been fined even more for causing the injusry that resulted in Miller missing time don't ya think??? It has been apparent that Kreutz has a history of losing his cool. See college days at WA. Same sort of scenario.

I think the blackhawks should sign the guy who is the puncher. They havnt had a big puncher like that since bob probert. that way when this guy punches someone he'll only miss 5 minutes of a game.

I believ common terminology(sic?) is "roid rage"

I think the reason they were fined is because it was at an FBI SHOOTING RANGE. If it were in the locker room or on the practice field I doubt this would've come up. I would still like to know how the fight actually came about. Kreutz: Hey Fred, you suck (bang bang bang) Miller: (bang bang) Screw you Olin, I hit the target Kreutz: Barely (bang) Miller: Piss off you little Hawaiian gang banger! (bang bang) Then Kreutz decks him...at least that's how it goes in my mind. Perhaps they fought over a bet like how many mirrors does Kyle Orton have. answer-0

Wrigs-I think you should stop trying to turn every single subject into a "TO" bash. This was about the Bears' players; not about TO. Try to keep your comments to the subject-at-hand, huh? And, for my two-cents, I think neither should be fined, what happens off the job hould stay off the job.

Ok, lets think about this. They get into a fight. Kruetz breaks Miller's jaw and puts him out of the game. They get fined $50,000. No suspensions. These punishments are so stupid. Take $50,000 from a guy who makes $125,000 a week (Kruetz) and $250,000 a week (Miller). What a punishment. I hope my boss doesn't get mad and take $20 out of my check.

These creatures begin to think they are above punishment after the multi-million dollar salaries start rolling in. Rare exceptions like Shaquille O'Neal in Miami exist (he just became a cop there again) but most of them think they can beat people up and nobody can say shit about it. Then they find out they are wrong, and woe betide the rest of the world. The whole shit of them should be taken back to their days when they worried about how they were going to buy groceries, and then told, 'Grow up, or your ass is grass, and we will be the lawn mower', but it won't happen. They will still be paid fourty and fifty times what they should, and people will think it's justified. I don't, and there should be limits. Starting with how much they can charge for a ticket.

Hey, if it wasn't them it'd be some other "creature".I sense some anger transferrence mrhockey. The NHL is back, so you've got that going for you. Cheer up, lil buckaroo.

you are all missing the obvious..... football players are just treated differently...... they are seldom held really accountable for their actions ( until they are no longer football players that is ) they should be fined because it is stated in their contracts that this type of behavior is not acceptable.... now just for fun think of this... lets say that mrhockey and i get into a fist fight in front of any police station pretty sure there would be some police involvement and probably a criminal charge or two filed..... the fines should have been higher

Call me old fashioned, I like a good dust-up once in awhile.

It's certainly preferable to listening to "fans" whine about players being overpaid.

If this was Fark, I'd award Kreutz the HERO tag, because Fred Miller is about the biggest tool in the NFL. I watched him attempt to play tackle for the Rams with the mobility of a deep-sea oil rig. More annoying, however, was his penchant for getting called for holding at least a couple times a game, his incessant false starts and his candy-ass moping on the sidelines when he got benched. I say punch the bastard again.

Wouldn't it make a lot more sense to fine the person who caused his injury? Wrigs double posting is kind of lame but tripe posting... I'm not sure if there is a word limit in a post but your posts sure wouldn't be over it. Btw, if I punched someone at a FBI shooting range, instead of a $50k fine, how many years of jail time would I get?
