The Big Hurt Becomes an A Frank Thomas has been signed to a one year deal with the Oakland A's. It remains to be seen if Thomas will actually play or will get hurt in spring training and spend the rest of the season standing around the dugout looking pissed off.

He surely won't make a difference. He hasn't in Chicago for several years. He never impressed me much!

Steve Francis Suspended Steve Francis is off the team for an undetermined amount of time. Wonder what he did? I know he never wanted to go to Orlando to begin with, but what's his deal?

This is yet another case of an overpaid player looking a gift horse in the mouth. He's been suspended and fined numerous times over the last few years. He's an idiot who is going to ruin his career...poor baby!

Wrigs-I think you should stop trying to turn every single subject into a "TO" bash. This was about the Bears' players; not about TO. Try to keep your comments to the subject-at-hand, huh? And, for my two-cents, I think neither should be fined, what happens off the job hould stay off the job.

Moving Jeter or A-Rod to center The Yankees are so desperately seeking a Center Fielder, now that they don't have Bernie Williams nor Bobby Crosby, that they are even considering moving either Jeter or Rodriguez out there. Joe Torre said that the solution to this problem may be within the own team (refering to moving Alex or Derek).

Brian Giles is in conversations with the Yankees, but he has interest in staying in the West Coast, where he resides, and he would rather sign with the Dodgers. The Yanks have also touched on Johnny Damon, from the Red Sox, but his agent Scott Boras, as always, is interested in a super contract of at least 7 years; something that NY is not willing to do, since they are offering 3 to 4 years at the most.

Wrigley, I see you're a huge fan of the Trib. Co. too. Won't spend the money for a series, because they make enough to line their pockets. Who cares about the fans, huh?

Now that's a tailgate party! "Tampa police arrested 10 people on Sunday outside Raymond James Stadium accusing them of operating a mobile strip club in the parking lot before the Bucs-Bears game...Regrettably for some Vikings, Tampa Bay played at Minnesota this year."

steelcityguy: make sure you also say you would rather work with a co-worker with "more class" from another company. That should get ya a good week or two off with pay!

Why couldn't that game have been played at Soldier Field? Chicago really is a boring town lately!

Whatever T.O. gets, he deserves. NFL and all other pro sports players end up being role models for kids. I know I wouldn't want any kids I might have taking their behavior examples from him. I hope no one takes the chance on him and he leaves the league. I like football for the sport; not the off the field drama.
