Too funny. (It's a kind of big image that I posted straight to this comment but then figured it would be too much for some devices and/or Internet connections. But it's a screenshot of Lebron's Gmail account. Poor Tim Duncan.

Will NBC let Bob Costas follow though on his moment of silence pledge?

My money says they cave. I'm hoping he doesn't.

NBC only broadcasts in the U.S., so I don't see the problem with his moment of silence. You aren't going to find much disagreement here that it's the right thing to do.

Would NBC risk angering the IOC, given how much broadcasting the Olympics means to the company?

posted by rcade at 01:28 PM on July 25, 2012

They have broadcast rights through 2020 already, so I'm not sure what the worry is. The next contract will be granted based on who will give the IOC the most money.

Advertisers must just be giddy over the fact Peyton Manning is healthy and back to doing practically every commercial on TV again.

2022 and 2024, for starters.

Its really worth reading that whole Lebron screenshot that NoMich posted. Comedy. Gold.

Chad Johson's performance problems were because New England wouldn't let him get fined.

Have fun pretending not to be pissed when Kobe shoots 6 for 19 and then yells at you. Yep, comedy gold indeed.

I'm going back to my normal ways, Johnson told the newspaper after a photo shoot for Zico Coconut Water. My normal ways, when I was at my best, when I got fined, look at the production those years. Usually things don't go right when you try to change the way you do things. I'm back to normal.

Yeah, you do that Chad. Good luck getting younger, too.

I think Chad is really saying that he wants to get back on a team where they don't devote such rigorous detail to pass routes and timing.

Having seen Coach Philbin's crisp, tight quarters pass offense in GB as run by Aaron Rodgers, Chad better make a large pot of coffee tonight so he can wake up and smell the hell out of it before Miami's training camp opens. If he runs his routes like it's a come-as-you-are casual affair, he'll be parked next to a big orange bucket of electrolytes on the sideline by Game 3.
