CFL Pick 'Em, Week 11: A big shake-up at the top of our standings as the league returns to a four-game week. Shake up your dice and make your picks inside.

B.C. squeezes by Montreal in a game with a controversial ending. Michael Bishop regresses to the mean as the Riders cruise over Winnipeg. Edmonton's eight points are not enough to save the offensive coordinator's job, and Toronto... oh, Toronto.

It's the second half of the Labour Day home-and-home, just in case you hadn't had enough rivalry bitterness yet.

WEEK 11

Hamilton @ Toronto (Friday, September 11) Toronto's in very tough against a Hamilton team that's looked very good. I don't even want to know what the Pro-Line spread is for this game.

Calgary @ Edmonton (Friday, September 11) Edmonton has a much better chance to turn the page. If they can put enough points on the board, their home-field defence should take care of the rest.

B.C. @ Montreal (Sunday, September 13) Montreal will be out for blood after last week's tough loss. B.C. has shown some improvement, but not enough to beat the Alouettes at home.

Saskatchewan @ Winnipeg (Sunday, September 13) Do you believe in Michael Bishop? That's a decision that only you can make.

Good luck!

This week: A lesson in not answering rhetorical questions.

A farmer in Alberta was in court on charges of bestiality with one of his cows. Toronto by 5. The judge hearing the case was appalled that someone could do something like this to their livestock. Edmonton by 11. In his summing up, the judge commented "This is a terrible act. What on earth was going through your mind when you were doing this?" Montreal by 15. The farmer replied "Well, your honour, I was actually thinking about a younger, hotter cow." Winnipeg by 3.

Toronto ('cause you gotta win sooner or later...right?) by 5

Edmonton ('cause Calgary ain't that good) by 6

Montreal ('cause they're gonna be pissed - - - and 'cause they're a better team!) by 13

Saskatchewan ('cause I have no faith in Michael Bishop) by 11

I got bit last week with the whole "you gotta win sooner or later" thinking about the Argos. And while I do think that it is true, I don't think it's gonna be this week now. What's great is that the Steeltown boys are having a good year. Hamilton, from all I can tell, is a real football town. What's not good is the centre of the universe is perceived as being downtown Toronto. Watching the TSN sports desk last night, "the Argos suck" chorus is a real stain on this league. The mojo just ain't there. They're lookin' in the rear-view mirror thinkin' about how quick they were to can Stubler. And they still can't figure out that just 'cause guys are American or NFL vets, they aren't automatically better in this league. Embrace the Canadian heritage of this game, Argos. Celebrate it's place in Canadian culture. Then, and only then will you return to the top of the heap. Not even a contest. Ticats by 30.

I've said it before and I'll say it again--Commonwealth is a tough place for visiting teams once again. All of the deck shuffling in the coaching and roster this week might give some the idea that the Double E are scrambling. I think that they are just clearing out some dead weight. A shake-up like this can have a negative effect, but I don't think that's gonna be the case with Richie Hall at the helm of this. He's bringin' us a winner in Edmonton this year, and he's doin' what he's gotta do to do it. While I'm sure Friday Night Football's double-header would benefit from at least one tight ball game, it ain't gonna happen tonight. Another blowout on the real turf at Commonwealth ... EE by 17. And I think that Tristan "Action" Jackson is gonna break one this game too.

I think after the controversial win last week, BC realizes that they're not the team their record suggests. It's a tight tight race in the west, but now that Wally's got his wins, the team can play like they're supposed to. While BC is still better than the bottom of the eastern barrel, Montreal is gonna wake up and play the way they're supposed to play too. Takes 10 points to cover this week, they'll send a message by doubling that. Montreal by 20.

The only excitement in this game is gonna be a quick start outta the gates by the Bombers. They'll have some fire, so they can come out and grab an early lead ... but the Riders are durable. They're in a dogfight for top spot in the west. With a strong second-half performance, probably aided with a few interceptions (Bombers run game is solid, the passing game will be their Achilles heel), Saskatchewan by 11.
