CFL Pick 'Em, Week 9 Hold your nose and ignore the stink from Week 8's games. Fortunately, everyone in the standings—both ours and the CFL West's—is still in the running, so this week should be a whole lot better. Make your picks inside.
(A quick mea culpa: thanks for your patience these past couple of weeks, with the late posts. I've been literally buried in work, which was made even worse because I misplaced my snow shovel.)
We figured this week would be bad, and boy howdy were we right. Winnipeg and Hamilton played a game of I-don't-want-it-you-take-it, with a total of 31 points scored off 7 turnovers. And Toronto, well, they just played I-don't-know-what-to-do-with-it.

| Result | Winnipeg by 13 | Montreal by 18 |
| Margin of Error | 9 to 17 | 13 to 23 |
Two margins vault tommytrump into first place, but the competition is still fierce with ten players within four points of the lead. I'm tempted to start a bonus pool on how many lead changes there will be for the duration of the season.

The second bye week has got to be more entertaining than the first. Literally: it's been proven by top quantum physicists.
WEEK 9
Saskatchewan @ Edmonton (Thursday, August 21) Saskatchewan has got to be the favourites coming in, but staying sharp after a 7-1 bye week isn't easy, and Edmonton is proving tough as home.
Calgary @ B.C. (Friday, August 22) It's a long way up to first place in the West, but either of these teams could make that run. B.C.'s looked good at home, but they don't have the consistency of the Lions of old, so this game is a toss-up.
Good luck!
