Beeping ball helps blind play baseball. Just as keen eyesight is important in baseball, acute hearing is critical in beepball. At one point, the noise of a plane flying overhead briefly halted Saturday's tournament. Yes, beepball, or "beep baseball" if you would rather call it that.

This is awesome.

This is actually quite amazing to witness. We have a large blind population in our town and I saw our local team running drills in advance of this game while we were walking through the park near our house.

Video.

Game video.

There's a version of cricket for the blind that uses a ball with a bell in it. I played it once with a blindfold. Fiendishly difficult.
