Vladimir Guerrero got his first hit of the series, but the Angels' slugger is batting just .083 (1-for-12) through the first three games. He has one RBI and has grounded into two double plays. Ouch. So much for shattering the moon.

I was pretty surprised by this game. Garland was on, but it seemed like everything had finally caught up with the Angels. They looked dead. It doesn't look good for them. I don't know how they are going to get past Garcia, Contreas and Buehrle the way they're swinging the bat.

I don't know how they are going to get past Garcia, Contreas and Buehrle the way they're swinging the bat. I didn't see many angel games this year, but if this series is any indication of their hitting, I have no idea how they got to this point. It was almost brutal to watch.

The Angels struggled at quite a few points this season to score runs, so this doesn't come as a major surprise. I think the advantage, without a doubt, goes to teams that sweep previous playoff series and get the extra rest. Making the Angels do all that extra travel those couple of days was a ridiculous blunder by the commissioner, one that shows he's more concerned with TV schedules and bottom lines than the game itself. Or, possilby, he's just an idiot. Also, the Angels not having Colon healthy and on the active roster for this series had to really mess with their overall confidence.

No he's not an idiot - he just doesn't give a shit who wins and loses. It's about maximizing television revenues, and he's not so incorrect. Not having Colon really hurts considering just how good Lackey was up until yesterday - coupled with Washburn's illness and that is a big hill to overcome for a team that really isn't a collection of bangers. No point in having that fantastic bullpen if you've run out of reliable starting pitching. However, remember that the Angels were a fantastic situational hitting team during the season - and seem to have done a complete 180 in this series. Yet there is still at least two games left. Lots can happen - this series could easily be 2-1 Angels, remember.

Yeah, with the exception of the blown call in Game 2, this has not been an earth shattering series yet. I would love to see the Angels put up at least a little more of a fight just to make it more interesting. That being said, I am starting to get pretty excited for the White Sox.

My biggest nightmare as a Cub Fan is a White Sox+Cardinal Series, at least Stros are up nicely against the Cards. The Angels look pretty lifeless down 6-2 Sat. eve in the 5th as I write. They are complaining about another missed call "Cather Interference" by the Homeplate Ump. Spring training anyone.
