: First Sign of the Apocalypse: Kicker Feud! Todd Sauerbrun takes on the Gramatica Brothers: "If he would have said the wrong thing to me there's no telling what I might have done ... that kid is as big of an idiot as his brother, and I'm sure his other brother is, too. It goes right down the line.'' Two kickers enter, one kicker leaves: SUNDAY!

This is just... odd. I don't think there is any other word for it. Maybe 'weird.' 'unusual'. What I guess I'm interested in is... is it unprecedented? Have kickers ever trash talked before? Especially at each other? [Speaking of unprecedented, I just saw Charles Barkley kiss Kenny Smith's butt. Definitely... umm... new.]

Somewhere, Ray Lewis and Warren Sapp are laughing their butts off about this! Where's Kevin Butler when you need him?

Todd Sauerbrun could kick the Gramatica's asses. I've seen Sauerbrun knock two kick returners on their respective asses this year. He outweighs Martin by at least 40 pounds.

This is like a fight breaking out at rival chess clubs. You shake your heads but you really just can't turn away.

"It wasn't enough to get cut by Buddy Ryan. He had to try to knock me out of the game. That tells you what kind of man Buddy Ryan is," said Zendejas, who never had another opportunity to kick in Thursday's game. He said he wasn't sure whether he would have been able to kick.

those cowboys sucked too.

So, what would happen in the event Sauerbrun and a Gramatica bro meet at the Pro Bowl? Would Sauerbrun be willing to be the holder on any kicks? Would Martin/Bill be willing to let him hold any kicks? Would we perhaps see one of the lamest fights in NFL history? The Shadow knows...

No offence, but Steve Christie would kick all their asses. That good old Canadian boy used to lay out some serious hits on kick returners when he still handled kickoffs for the Bills. Now that he just does field goals, he doesn't get the chance anymore.

I remember seeing Luis Zendejas get flagged for unnecessary roughness back in '88 or so, after he pasted the kick returner. Now that's a kicker.
