Sports Bio

My favorite teams are the Cubs, Tigers, Lions, Panthers, Hurricanes, Sri Lanka, and Kings XI Punjab.
My most memorable sporting event that I attended was Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals in 2006 when the Hurricanes won it all. I will never forget a second of that game.

MLB ABS 101: A Visual Guide to the New Automated Ball-Strike Challenge System. When is the best time to challenge a ball/strike? Also, what Milwaukee was doing during spring training by putting up a card on the dugout fence earned them a slap from the league office. The rule states that only a player can challenge a call, but MLB viewed the cards that Milwaukee was using as instructions from the coaching staff. Of course, it wasn't a specific instruction to challenge the latest call, but rather it was just letting the batter know that it was a good time to challenge if the batter thought it should be done.

WNBA and players reached a historic deal. Here’s what needs to happen next: After more than 100 hours of negotiations the past few weeks, the WNBA and players union agreed to terms of a new CBA. The salary cap surges from $1.5 million to $7 million, with average player salaries jumping from $120,000 to $600,000. Revenue sharing, the central point of contention, was settled at about 20% of overall league revenue throughout the new multi-year deal.

Tim Kurkjian predicts MLB work stoppage is coming: The signing of Kyle Tucker by the Los Angeles Dodgers may have been the final straw for many on the path towards a work stoppage in Major League Baseball...Tucker is yet another free agent that the Dodgers were able to sign to a nine-figure deal, furthering the divide between the haves and the have-nots in the sport. And while the Dodgers are in their own stratosphere of spending, even compared to heavy hitters like the Mets, Yankees, and Red Sox, the gap to the bottom half of the Major Leagues in payroll is becoming astronomical. The Dodgers will pay more in luxury tax in 2026 than 11 MLB teams will spend on their entire roster.

How much money is being made on Carolina's damned dang own goals? Two last night and one in game 2.

You know the injury is bad when the opposing players are waving wildly to the injured player's bench. Last I heard, they took him to the hospital.

I'm never getting to sleep tonight. Also, game 1 had the highest TV audience since game 1 of the 2019 Boston/St Louis Finals.

If the Canes can't win any board battles and if their so-called top line can't get it together, this series won't last long.

The Canes were too sad over the news of the passing of Peabo Bryson to be able to properly play their game last night. The game was a whole new world because they were up against a beauty *and* a beast.

Am I right in thinking that the Spurs are a bit ahead of schedule with this deep playoff run?

At this point, I feel like it would take a minor miracle for the shallow Spurs to overcome the very deep Thunder. So, it looks like SGA will be flopping all over MSG like something netted out of the East River.
