Unranked Syracuse Upsets #1 UConn, 86-84: Syracuse was winning well throughout the game, they deserved this win.

This seals their spot in the tournament, good for them.

I hope this makes UC's near win over Syracuse a better argument, not just for an invitation to the tourney, but for Andy Kennedy to get Coach of the Year.

Uconn and George Washingtons losses today along with Dukes latest woes prove that this years tournament is pretty much up for grabs.

Didn't DePaul beat 'Cuse by 30 something points last week. Frightening..........

I'm very suprised that 'Cuse beat Uconn. I'm very happy about it because Syracuse is my team.

Yeah. There are a couple of people here at work, Big Ten guys, who swear that the Big Ten and ACC are better than the Big East. Right. I'm too lazy to check but hasn't DePaul played tight with some of the best Big Ten teams this year? They could put 10 Big East teams in the tourney and they would all hold their own. I guess back home it's suddenly Orange mania all over again. I don't think this year is going to turn out like it did 3 years ago though...

This seals their spot in the tournament, good for them. That may be true, but with GW's loss there's an additional bubble team knocked off. It's a quality win for Syracuse, but with the way they played in conference, I have to think they need the auto-bid. 7-9 in conference with a win over West Virginia and a win over Cincy, isn't impressive. I think this theory that the Big East is gonna get 8 in has lost a lot of steam. At least two teams from Cincy, Seton Hall and Syracuse might be heading for the NIT.

GO "G-MAC".......A fantastic college game.

hasn't DePaul played tight with some of the best Big Ten teams this year? DePaul has played exactly 1 Big Ten team - they beat Northwestern, and if that's you're rallying point ... yeesh. At least you qualified your laziness and I know you're trying to justify Cuse getting in, but really? But to your point - although getting 10 teams in from a major 16-team conference is no special feat and I think there should be a rule eliminating any team that goes sub-.500 in their own conference ... I agree that your Big Ten buddies should probably tone it down. The Big East is the best conference in hoops. I don't think anyone in the country wants to play the top 5 from the Big Ten, but they and the ACC are a notch below the Big East. Then again, basketball is all that the Big East was built for. Good luck to the Orange - they've earned a crack at making some noise in the Dance.

I agree...I remember watching G-Mac and the 'Cuse on Sunday against Villoneauva and I thought they're in some deep shit...but yeah...they should be given a chance...I just hope they don't take UH's place...go COOGS!

Yukon, are you saying GW is a bubble-team? If so, and no offense, I actually have to question your understanding/following of college basketball. Granted, they're in the A-10, however, other than this loss, they've completely owned every team in that conference this year. I'm no GW fan, however, they'll easily make it to the dance. Yes, I'll readily eat my words if they don't make it.

Cuse, especially after tonight's win against G-town...grumble....grumble...will make it in, as well. The win against UConn pretty much guaranteed it and killed a number of other bubble teams' chances.

On a larger note, I agree that the Big East certainly won't send a record 9 teams and most likely won't send 8 to the Big Dance, either.

It's not that GW won't make it, but that whomever wins the A10 tourney will get a bid from a bubble team.

IndyColtsJ.... another Colts and Cuse fan on the same site? Wow. Cool. Another nailbiting win for the Orange tonight too... can't wait for tomorrow!

The Cuse is in hands down. If you beat #1 UCONN and what ever number Georgetown is back to back you have to be in if you have the record they have. Gerry MacNamara has stepped it up since Jim Boehim's comments about him being over rated showing, he is the great player i know i think of him as. Cuse, all the way baby!

I wish we had some chick at my alma mater (Maryland) say something in our school newspaper that Caner-Medley is a slouch; maybe we could win something....
