Player Gets Red Card for Tackling Streaker: During a lower-level British soccer match, Dorchester Town player/manager Ashley Vickers was sent off against Havant & Waterlooville for tackling a streaker in a mankini who was faster than security guards. "My only thought was to get hold him so we could get on with the game," Vickers said. "The stewards actually thanked me for it."
He didn't even go in studs up!

I love how the other team tried to talk the ref out of it, and even offered to sit a player to even it up.
Totally worthless call.

Agreed. Remarkable he was allowed to go on and ref the Arsenal vs Barca game last night.

Apparently so he could have fun with Arsenal. I missed it but have heard Van Persie's second yellow was pretty much crap.

Be interesting to know from the ref which of the Laws of the Game Vickers broke to earn a red card.
