And Another One Down...: Toyota have pulled out of Formula One with immediate effect. This comes on the heels of the news that Bridgestone will leave the sport after the 2010 season. BMW announced earlier this year they were leaving. Last year we lost Honda. This year we lost BMW and Toyota. With Brawn and Red Bull doing so well this year, will 2010 be a continuation of The Rebirth of the Privateer?

I'm type 1. Secondary. (Meaning I don't have diabetes the usual way. I have it because of surgery to remove my pancreas. I discovered it's the bodies surliest organ and will try and kill you the first chance it finds).
My Dad is type 2.
All I can say is I'd rather face needles every few hours and be able to eat what I want than deal with the type 2 bullshit. Holy crap that's tiresome and my Dad's diet was basically misery on a plate.

Another lovely F1 race saw Seb turn a 3rd place start into a 4th place finish, and Fernando turn a 5th place start into a win.
HAHA!

Only thing I can think looking at that gif Gary is a voice going "MULTIBALL!"

True Cixel, but it's the only sport, hockey aside, where outright piling into your opponent as hard as you can is encouraged.
Yes there's injuries, but they're not to the degree of football which is essentially like being in a car crash every play. (Okay, a stretch, but still...)

This has been predicted as coming for years now. Ten years from now football will be a vastly different sport.
Now here's an interesting thought: Will football still have enough "flesh" to continue? I would imagine it will. But will there be a quality drop off in the talent pool? With less players, weaker players stand a better chance of making it. Will the quality of the game deteriorate?
I don't really care as I don't watch football, but it's going to be interesting.

Wow that was a nothing piece. I'm sure if they tried they could find someone who walked past him on the street once.

Ridiculous. They could at least make it an event and still have more outside games, like have, say, the first playoff games outside or something.

Bull fighting is no more a sport than dog fighting IMO.

That was so weird, and I was only thinking about it the other day. I love how there was no medical explanation. Given my experience with something similar 20 years ago and doctors going "Fucked if we know!" I'm not remotely surprised.
Too bad they shitcanned him. Poor guy:(

I'm tired of this sort of BS in F1. No we don't need fucking grid girls standing there where the cars park. No we don't need a line of women for the drivers to walk past on their way to the podium.
It's fucking Mad Men style bullshit and I'd be very happy to see it gone.

So Sebastian Vettel showed, once again, he's a giant dick. Told to hold station he pressed and passed Mark Webber against team orders.
Post race stuff was a joy to watch, and it seems the team are genuinely pissed off with Seb not listening.

I don't think it's uncool at all. All these broadcasters are about 10 years behind where they should be for access.
I mean I have money burning a hole in my pocket to pay for blanket, quality Formula One coverage online. Nobody wants my money though, leaving me to have to deal with torrents if I want anything approaching acceptable coverage. (In other words something other than TSN's fucking horseshit, which yes, I do also pay for.)

I like the second bit. Holographic football games. I hope that tech exists one day. Being able to sit in my local stadium here in Canada and watch the the World Cup played out in front of me!
