Mike Blowers sees the future: The Seattle Mariners and Toronto Blue Jays are out of the playoff race. The radio broadcast of their game on September 27th probably didn't have a lot of listeners on Sunday morning in Seattle, but those who were listening got to hear a wild prediction by Mariners' color commentator and former player Mike Blowers on the pregame show, and the subsequent hilarity in the broadcast booth when his prediction came true.

Sweet jesus! And it wasn't just "He's gonna go deep today, no doubt about it", it was the Rain Man- like "Definitely on a 3-1 count, left center, definitely going deep in his 2nd at bat on a 3-1 count..." The best part, besides Niehaus on the edge of his seat from the 2-1 pitch was a ball, getting excited and then the hit... was the fact that the rest of the booth couldn't stop laughing.
That's outstanding. :)

Blowers is strange like that. And I would do anything to hear Niehaus call a homerun. His call on Ichiro's walk-off a couple weeks ago was the stuff of "My, Oh My!" legend.

His predictions are better than Daniel Negreanu's at the poker tables. He ought to use his talent to pick the power ball numbers (for me).
