Uhhhh, wow, I put the standings together and then forgot to paste them in.

Sorry everyone. It's been a long week.

Interdivision upsets! Edmonton makes Montreal look human, and Hamilton holds off the B.C. comeback to pound their way to their first winning record in the history of this Pick 'Em.

Intradivision nailbiters! Saskatchewan wins a wild one out west, while Winnipeg edges the Argos in a tame one out east.

Points are tough to come by this week, but Mave strings together three to make second place very crowded. Spitztengle notches two to tie for firstI guess the Eskimos must be winning or something?

We're at that point: we've seen so much back and forth that mostly we just don't know what to think anymore.

WEEK 6

Toronto @ Montreal (Friday, August 7) Sure, Montreal didn't quite seem themselves last week, but you still need more than twelve points to beat 'em at home.

Saskatchewan @ B.C. (Friday, August 7) A struggling B.C. squad may be a slight underdog at home, but Saskatchewan is still banged up enough that they're vulnerable.

Edmonton @ Hamilton (Saturday, August 8) The two powerhouses! Who knew? The edge still goes to Ricky Ray's ability to tear up the Hamilton secondary.

Winnipeg @ Calgary (Saturday, August 8) Calgary is smarting from a tough loss last week, and they sure aren't going to let the likes of Michael Bishop rub salt in the wound.

Good luck!

Pretty poorly. I haven't heard of a single CFL game this season that's been decided by half a point.

I think I might just have to go back and have a look-see when I have some time.

See, I'm a bit of a recovering gambling addict ... so I don't lay any moola down on the games anymore ... however, it is still exciting to pick against the spread ... knowing it makes me watch the games more closely. Allows me to not change my behaviour really, but saves me from the harsh consequences of poor decisions.

Two Canadian fur trappers walk into a bar. Montreal by 6. The first one orders two large vodkas, neat. BC by 7. They pick up their glasses, and the second one says "Cheers". Edmonton by 15. The first one replies angrily "Look, are we here to talk, or drink?". Calgary by 21.

I hate to go against my team, but... after last week's offensive offensive performance & knowing montreal will be looking for a big improvement offensively. Argos will right the ship, but not this week, al's by 15.

Riders are road warriors this year. Sask by 2.

The R Ray show will prevail in steel town. Ed by a field goal.

Apart from Winni's defence last week, Argos made them look... ok. Really?? lol Calgary will exert some offensive muscle, stamps by 8.

While that would prevent them from nailing the spread they could still get the team and the second point for being within the margin of error.

Bo don't know C.F.L. football, and neither does DrJohnEvans, tommytrump, Schultzie, and WeedyMcSmokey.

The Saskatchewan/Calgary game last week was one of the best football games I've seen in years! And the Argo game - - - one of the most pathetic outings I've seen from either team all year. Just pathetic.

Again, not so much whether Montreal will win, but by how much. Toronto can't score. Period. I thought that they'd unleash the hounds last week and give 'em a taste for the endzone, but no dice. As Charles Barkley would say, "they're turrible, just turrible." Montreal has shown that they are not robots on steroids, but they're far from turrible. Montreal by 26, and heads roll in the Big Smoke.

Now it's not like the Lions can't rear their heads and stretch their claws and do some damage, but they seem a bit wounded this year. As a half-point favourite at home, I'm thinking that the oddsmakers were a bit optimistic having them favoured at all. But really, I don't know what to think. They can be a dangerous football club, but I'm gonna stick with my prediction that they will miss the playoffs this year. That means that they're gonna have to lose to their division rivals from time to time. Call me crazy, but I'll pick the Riders in this one by a field goal.

The game of the week---EE versus Hamilton. I know, I know ... y'all are waiting for me to rant and rave about how good the Double E is looking, but if there's a team to be afraid of right now, it's the TiCats. Not to mention, historically Edmonton doesn't fare so well in the Hammer for some reason. Okay, this is where I throw rationality out the window and revert to Superfandom. The Tabbies are young. Dangerous yes, but still young. I like how there are people really on board with the Ricky Ray show ... his receivers are starting to get in line too. It's time they take the chains off and really strut their stuff. At 52.5, I'm gonna pick OVER ... something like 48 to 31. Tabbies will try to rally late, but the Esks will be too far out front. Edmonton by 17.

Long and short of it---Winnipeg sucks. Calgary needs to stay in the hunt. They'll win, but not big. Stampeders by 10.

The world according to Sport Select's PointSpread does not look good up against the SpoFi prognosticators at this point in the season.

Week 1: 2 pts

Week 2: 1 pt

Week 3: 2 pts

Week 4: 3 pts (did get two for the Montreal win and margin)

Week 5: 0 pts

That's a grand total of 8 points ... clearly in the hunt for the Costanza.
