Royals take credentials from two reporters.: The reporter says they have been kept from doing their job. Interesting story. This brings up a point I often wondered about. Can one keep the media from covering something? This type of story makes one think about the issue.

Bonds' quest for the record could stir many emotions.: Barry Bonds was named to the World cup baseball team (or whatever its called) Why this may not sprak interest in the games, his play may be a predictor as how his chase for the "record' will go. Some wonder if Bonds is even healthy enough to go for the record. The bottom line here is that he will generate lots of emotion this season.

Charges brought against 4 Vikings for events occurring during "Love Boat cruise" : I debated on putting the link up to this. It is really sickening to hear the light hearted manner by which the ESPN boys are discussing this. What Culpepper and the boys did was terrible it doesnt need to be glorified.

Twins Radio broadcaster is back for his 51th season.: Often over-looked, Hall of a Fame broadscaster with be back for his 51st season with the Twins. I grew up listening to Herb. He is one of the rare breed that paints a picture of the game. His voice isnt what it once was and he has "lost a step" in his form, but he is still fun to listen too. No, he is not the best of all time--but Herb is in the team picture!

The post season run of the Twins come to an end.: The outstanding pitching staff could overcome inconsistent offence and poor defence. The Twin played in a league high 57 one run games. Loosing thirty of those games. This a good breakdown of what needs to be done this winter if the Twins want to compete in for the Division Title next year.

Baseball wildcards should lift our spirits: The tight pennent races and the playoffs will help get rid of the "funk" we are feeling brought on by all of the sad news of late. To me sports, in general, offer a nice release. I would throw College FB and the NFL into this "funk buster mode" as well.

White Sox manger questions Marte's injury.: I always thought that this type of thing should be kept between the manager and the player'not given to the Media. I guess that Ozzie feels differantly about on how this should be handled. Just another sign that the Sox will "fold" in the playoffs like a cheap suit!
