Borrowing the name from The Simpsons, a new minor league baseball team has been named the Albuquerque Isotopes. More on the team, which will be the Triple A affiliate of the Florida Marlins, can be found on its official web site.
"Why do you hate the isotopes so much, dad?" "Because I loved them once, and they broke my heart. Let that be a lesson to you, sweetie. Never love anything."

While there have been several quality Simpsons episodes featuring the Springfield Isotopes, few can compare to what I believe may be one of the funnier episodes ever, when the Isotopes win the championship, and Homer and his drunk buddies go on a rampage through town. Possibly one of the funniest things I ever remember seeing Groenig put on the show. Go Albuquerque!
