Suns Stoudemire out until march: Suns are doing farely well without him, how would they do with him?

The regular season ends April 19, so if Amare comes back when they predict (early March), he's got just over a month to get into playoff shape. That's if everything goes as planned. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't play at all this year. His game is based on driving to the basket and finishing with power, something you can't do if you have any doubts about your knee. Hopefully he'll have no setbacks and will be able to come back gradually, giving the Suns a big boost in time for the playoffs. The Suns have to know that they can't depend on it - the rehab history of microfracture surgery patients is pretty grim.

The Suns are a good team without him, they have definately proven themselves in these first couple months. However, the playoffs are a different story. First round should be a team like the Clippers, Lakers, or maybe Denver. Without Amare, Steve Nash has a lot riding on his shoulders. With Amare, the inside presence would completely change the series. Amare is needed for the Suns to go deep in the playoffs this year.
