Ring ring ring ring ring ring ring ... Robert Kraft's on the phone: During a recent meeting between American business leaders and Russian president Vladmir Putin, Putin pocketed Kraft's 2005 Super Bowl ring. Did Kraft mean for Putin to have it? Did Putin think it was a gift? And how does ask a president for a ring back? Bling bling inside.

Glasnost anyone? My feeling is that if Putin decides he wants something, he just kinda takes it. Super Bowl rings, total parilamentary control, what have you. Frankly Kraft's only option is to say it really was a gift. Then quietly make another one. Say he had two all along.

He pocketed it then said: "das vidanya, Mr. Kraft..."

It sounds like a Curb Your Enthusiasm plotline, except with ex-spy dictators.

At least his wife and kids weren't part of the photo-op. I'll bet Josten's is laughing today...laughing all the way to the bank.

In Soviet Russia, superbowl ring owns you! or something...

He doesn't need more than one ring, though, does he? I mean, really.

What does need have to do with jewel-encrusted rings in the first place?

That's what he gets for going to kiss the ass of a borderline-dictator to further his own business interests.

Since Super Bowl rings mean so little to Kraft, he should just give the team to me...I'd cherish that hardware and stomp Putin like a narc at a biker rally if he tried to take it. KGB, my ass...we won the Cold War, we'll win the War of the Rings, too! Friggin' Commies.

Good call. After all these years, still a platinum line. "...ain't no mountain high enough, ain't no valley low enough...hey asshole, ain't no dance floor WIDE ENOUGH... Ah, good times, good times.

Yeah, the only reason I recognize it is because it's still in the rotation along with "You gotta be a real piece of Samsonite™." The ™ is a pain in the ass to pronounce though. Man I cried the day Dennis Miller passed away.
